Well, Tino was all set up, thinking he was going to get some numbers out of the dating event for reasons that Jane couldn't quite suss out.

So she was just going to be at her end of the bar to help out anyone who needed a drink. Tino could deal with the disappointment when people just wanted a drink and to be left alone over on his part of the bar.

"Old, but visiting," Jaina said. "I think we've met before."

She knew they had, but it'd been a while and she sometimes liked being a brat about things.

Jane's eyes went wide and she looked like she wanted to be swallowed up by a hole in the ground. "Right. Yes. The thing I sort of repressed a little bit."

"Wondering if I'm going to get stopped by another member of your family right now," Jane admitted, lifting her drink in a toast to Jaina.

"You might," Jaina said, toasting back and sipping her drink before turning around to count. "Looks like there's three more."

"Alternate timelines," Jaina said simply. "Four other people! Rey counts now. The whole group's kind of a mess but we keep it interesting."

"Alternate timelines works," Jane admitted. "There's some of that going on for me too."

"Who is it for you?" Jaina asked.

"Well, there are some people who are alive here and not... back home." Which was very weird. "And apparently from some very different timelines based on... a lot of things."

"You've been here for a long time, haven't you?" It was like being institutionalized.

"Off and on since... 2008?" Jaina said. "There's been a lot of timeline weirdness, I have no idea how many actual years it's been."

So yeah, like being institutionalized but still being able to dip out to another galaxy for coffee or something once in a while.

"And how would you even measure it?" Jane replied. "Based on your time, this time, or other people's?"

"I think I'm still technically younger in actual time that I've existed than I am yearswise going off my galaxy's time," she said. "That one really trips me up."
