Well, Tino was all set up, thinking he was going to get some numbers out of the dating event for reasons that Jane couldn't quite suss out.

So she was just going to be at her end of the bar to help out anyone who needed a drink. Tino could deal with the disappointment when people just wanted a drink and to be left alone over on his part of the bar.

Stark grinned back, clearly feeling pleased with himself.

"Oh, she's right over..." he said. He let his voice trail off, raised a hand to brush his thumb across her cheek.

"Here."

And he was going to be bold now and test his limits and try to kiss her in the middle of a crowded bar.

Well, with a build-up like that, how could Summer even think of refusing? She leaned into it easily, but she was more than happy to keep letting Stark take the lead on this. He was doing so well, she certainly wasn't going do anything to crap his style.

Stark really was living his best life the past few weeks. Aside from the nightmares but those had gotten better!

"The very best option," he said slowly when he pulled back. "Of all of them."

Pfft. What totally normal, well-rounded person didn't have the occasional heart-stopping, cold-sweat inducing night terrors, anyway?

"I think," said Summer, "that the best option right now is for you and me to get the hell out of here and you can show me more about how great you think this woman you're so fond of is."

"She's wonderful," Stark said, sliding an arm around her waist. "You're right. It's best explained in private. Very thoroughly. It may take a long time."

"Well, wouldn't you know?" said Summer with a grin and an eager glint in her eyes. "I just so happen to have all night."

"Good," Stark said, grinning back. "So do I. And I want to be thorough."

He tightened his arm around her, trying to pull her closer. He was tempted to kiss her again and was looking at her carefully to see if that was the correct move or not. He thought it was but maybe once in a crowded bar was meant to be enough.
