Caritas; Wednesday [09/27].
There were still a lot of apples in the bar on Wednesday. And they were being repurposed. Not for drinks tonight, but, instead, Tino was in the process of making a lot of little apple head witch dolls and setting them all around the bar.
"Number one," stated Summer, after removing one from the ice machine, because, um, hello, creepy and unsanitary?, "you have got to stop hanging out with Tiny."
Were all the apples better than all the pumpkins? She had no idea. She did not care to know.
"And number two," she continued, "there are--"
She was going to say that there were a lot of witches on this island, or some approximation of them, and something like this might be just a tad bit insensitive and offensive, but then she thought about them potentially cursing him over it, and....you know what? She was alright with that.
"Never mind," she said. "Although, really, we do have a zombie band, I feel like you're missing a real opportunity to make apple head zombies to really drive home our whole brand, you know?"
So there you go. If people didn't come in and distract him with getting them drinks, Tino was going to slowly populate the bar with little apple headed witches and zombies.
And one appleheaded Summer, apparently, by the tiny pink tank top and red ponytail that was making Tino real lucky that this place had that sanctuary spell.

The Stage - 09/27.
The Bar - 09/27.
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
"Hello, Summer." No trepidation there. Just the sort of soft smile reserved only for her these days.
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
"That sounds fine then," Stark said. "Maybe one of everything tonight?"
Luckily he had an alien metabolism and could usually handle this sort of thing.
"The fancy drink to start. Please."
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
As if her making it didn't already make that pretty much true.
"How was your day?" she asked, as she started mixing the drink. "Anything fun?"
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
"I looked at some recipes," he said, "after I was done with radio. In case there are visitors."
He thought Chiana might come. He very much hoped Summer's grandfather would not.
"Didn't really find anything though."
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
"Oh,shit," she said, "that's right! Parents Weekend already!"
Her brows lifting as she resumed her work. "Is Chiana coming again this year?"
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
Sure, he could ask but then they would have to have a conversation and there might be awkward questions and he didn't want to deal with that. Much better to deal with that in person."
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
And, with that, a couple of apple slices, some rosemary, and a flick of a match at the end of a cinnamon stick, Summer proudly set the cocktail in front of Stark and grinned, pleased as hell about how it turned out.
"Not bad, huh?"
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
"And I like Chiana too. Of course I do." He had slept with her for a few weeks, after all.
"I'm glad you like her too. And yes. Cupcakes! That's a good idea."
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
"And I'll make sure we have what we'll need, then," she added with a nod. "So either way, we'll end up having a pretty good time, right?"
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
It wasn't like he had any social media accounts. Unlike some people who had all of them.
"We will have a good time," he agreed. "With or without her. Although...do you think anyone is coming for you?"
Like, say, a very unpleasant grandfather and his bag of pigs?
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
"And, no, man," she shook her head, leaned her arm on the bar a little, "my family pretty much stopped caring about that the moment I graduated. And Mr. Poopybutthole likes to make it when he can, but his son's got a dance recital this weekend, I think."
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
He looked around the bar, frowning a little. "It has been quiet..." The frown lessened. "But then I get you to myself. And I can't mind that." Sorry, Tino.
"If Chiana comes she'll want to visit you though. She liked you."
Maybe a little too much.
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
Summer definitely wasn't, but she was also just sort of basking a little in the whole not minding having her to himself thing as if it was an entirely new concept or something.
"If she comes and doesn't visit me," she then pointed out, "I'm gonna be pissed."
Well, maybe not pissed. But she would probably pout a lot. And maybe have a small self-esteem crisis.
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
"I wouldn't let her do that," he promised. "And she wouldn't want to do that! If she's here we'll be together, the three of us."
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
"See, now," said Summer, smiling, "that sounds like fun. That's a fun weekend, right there. I hope she does show up. And we'll have amazing pot cupcakes, and it'll be awesome. Do you think we should do any particular flavor? Should we get, like, crazy stupid with the toppings, like with sprinkles and shit?"
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
"They don't have chocolate there," Stark said. "But...they don't have much there that we have here. Different flavored frosting than cake and yes toppings. Maybe candy?"
They were going to be awesome cupcakes.
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
A pause.
"Unless, like, she has a peanut allergy or something."
A space peanut allergy.
But, yeah, Stark's friend dying of (space) anaphylactic shock on Parents Weekend would be bad.
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
"Yes. Yes. Good! We can do all of that and she's had peanut butter before so she'll be fine. Those sound very good."
A beat.
"You have wonderful ideas."
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
"Thanks," she said. "Maybe we could do candy corn ones, too. I mean, you guys don't have Halloween, we could really go all out for a little taste of that experience. Pumpkin spice ones, too, actually..."
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
Also not news but sometimes it needed to be said.
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
And even if the balance of it didn't quite get to where it would be most comfortable, this was Stark, so that was probably going to keep him floating for at least a bit.
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
"That's one thing I love," he told her. "Among so many others."
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
"...think you want to maybe tell me more about some of the other ones later?"
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
"Please."
She was so close now he was going to be bold and try for a kiss.
Re: The Bar - 09/27.
So she was going to let him, and even kiss him back, too, while they were at it.
