Well, the zombies were back at it again with the romance. This time, however, it seemed to be romantic woes as one of them was seated at the bar where Jane was nodding along to his complaints.

She was honestly a little concerned by the fact that she could understand it all, but a text to Valkyrie had confirmed that was just an Asgard thing. Still weird.

Rey had made it all the way to the bar before spotting the zombie, and then it was a confused look towards Jane because...

Jane definitely mouthed 'Help me' at her before nodding at what the zombie was groaning about how he was never appreciated.

Could... could you mind trick a zombie? Previous threads say no!

But she went to tap the zombie on the shoulder, thought better of that, then cleared her throat to get his attention so she could wave her hand. "You want to go back to the stage."

Hey, Anakin managed! Or maybe he just convinced them with the whole scary factor.

The zombie groaned again before hauling himself out of the chair to lurch toward the stage.

"Thank you," Jane sighed. "I thought he'd never leave."

"What was that all about?" Rey asked.

"Romance drama in the band," Jane said, glancing over at the super awkward vibes on the stage.

"Oh. Well..." Yeah, she had nothing. "That's certainly a thing."

"They never learned not to date anyone you work with," Jane said like it was definitely a lesson worth learning. "What can I get you, Rey?"

"Just a Dr. Pepper, and the ability to take back my last question," she said.

"Too late for that one," Jane said, getting that soda for her. "If I have to know, so does everyone else."

"What can we talk about that's not that?" Rey asked.

[needsacatchphrase]

"Maybe... the holiday coming up?" Yes, Halloween was a good distraction.

"Right. Are you doing anything for it?" Rey asked.

[needsacatchphrase]

"I thought about maybe going to the mainland for some crimefighting?" Jane ventured. "Since I don't know of any parties going on."

"I know they've thrown them here before," Rey said. "Not sure if anything's going on this year."

[needsacatchphrase]

"Here at the bar?" Jane asked.

[thatwaslucky]

"Yeah. I think the last time was when we turned into our costumes," Rey said. "But I don't think that was the bar's fault."

[needsacatchphrase]

"...oh, that sounds like a party and a half," Jane said slowly.

[thatwaslucky]

"It was interesting," she said. "I can't be mad, we've had worse."

[needsacatchphrase]

"Worse than weird were-creatures attacking?"

[thatwaslucky]

"We've definitely had worse," Rey told her. "I came back here in time for everyone to turn into toys."

[needsacatchphrase]

"I am really glad I missed out on that one," Jane had to admit. Because yikes. Just yikes.

"I had to fight things with a plastic lightsaber," Rey complained.

[needsacatchphrase]

"But that's cute!" She would think that.

[thatwaslucky]

"Not when things are trying to kill your," Rey said. "And it's harder to move when you're plastic."

"But plastic swords." Jane was really picturing kids fighting in a toy aisle there.

"I don't think I'm getting my point across," Rey said.

[needsacatchphrase]

"Oh no, it's horrifying enough that I'm focusing on the swords to not be completely freaked out," Jane admitted.

[thatwaslucky]

"Ah. Okay, then you're picturing it exactly right," Rey said.

"Here's hoping it won't repeat?" Jane said, lifting up a glass of her own.

Rey lifted her glass. "We can stick to turning into ponies, I guess."

Annoying but inoffensive!

"Can we still talk as ponies?"

Like. The important questions here.

"Of course. You just can't use phones. Or glasses. And doors are very difficult," she said.

[needsacatchphrase]

"I don't think I want to be a pony," Jane replied slowly. "I was a cat for a little bit and it was pretty weird coming back to normal."

"I've been a cat too," Rey told her. "This is somehow different. I can't describe how."

"Huh," Jane said, chewing on the straw of her drink. "If it happens, I'm finding you."
