Prompto was definitely not going to ask why Apu was going around and systematically removing all ladders, mirrors and anything with a black cat on it (which, dude, it was Halloweentime, black cats were everywhere?), but he was going to focus on setting up a nice display of travel things toward the front of the store to go with the big sign advertising a sale for the day:

Sure, there was the occasional wistful sigh about not being able to go himself, but he was also looking forward to things being quiet around the island and how that would just mean more quality time with his family and really focusing on Noctra's latest impulse to give crawling a try. He would have hated to miss that just because he was away on a trip! He should start looking into what the rules for bringing kids along really were, though, because it would be great if they didn't have to miss out on the next one.

There was....actually a long pause after that one, with Prompto staring at his phone and wondering if Liz was joking or not.

He squinted a little, looked at the Squishy machine as if he could find the answer there, gave up and, just texted back:

...seriously, though?

And then his eyes widened with a thought about weird cravings that he was...going to try very hard to ignore, and instead try to convince himself that, yes, an iced beverage based on foods that had no business being an icy flurry, in his opinion, anyway!

Liz realised belatedly after she sent it how that sounded and that she definitely wasn’t having cravings.

well, maybe not on second thought but an iced drink does sound rather good still :)
