Apu had been continuing the trend of celebrating things that actually didn't make Prompto want to shake his head and gouge out his eyes or puncture his eardrums this week! Because it was apparently World Science Day for Peace and Development, which meant building up a really sweet display of cool science toys they had on hand, microscopes, telescopes, stethoscopes, books and movies about all things science, and it was just definitely a vibe he could get into, even if he was constantly getting distracted by this thing or the other and also thinking that he had to get Noctra this adorable little switchboard. The little toy microscope was kind of cute, too, and, like, he got it, but he wasn't a big fan of the bug aspect of that one.

Either way, it was a cool theme, and he really enjoyed it, and it was a good thing Fridays weren't usually busy in the store, because he was definitely getting distracted.

Of course Prompto was stoked to grin at his phone and take a little break for texting Liz even when the day wasn't horrible and annoying.

things are pretty good here! It's some kind of science day, so apu's featuring a lot of science stuff! How are things over there?

Science day sounds very fascinating, I'm glad things are good over there. We've had a pretty good morning here, its been quiet, nothing too exciting happening over here, Noctra's having her nap at the moment 🥰🥰🥰

good, then she'll be good and rested and ready for SCIENCE when I get home! Definitely bringing some of this for her, i think she'll really like it!

And with the windfall of supplies they got from the Walmart raid, they had a little extra for toys anyway!

Prompto was going to text back about trying to find maybe a cute little scientist lab coat for her, but he blinked, and, suddenly, got a vision, a flashback, of the Niflheim labs and, just like that, science day didn't seem like such a great idea after all.

mostly tech stuff, he eventually texted back. No need to lean into any certain other scientific proclivities that might, erm, run in the family, so to speak.

there's this cute little interactive switchboard thing that'll keep those little curious hands hood and busy. U know?
