Summer had access to the internet, obviously, so she was starting to become better prepared when she came into the store on Monday for whatever Apu might be throwing at her, and today? Well, she was a little bit nervous about what some of the options allegedly were, and she was holding her breath (for more reasons than one!) when she came in.

Only to immediately breathe out a sigh of relief when she saw that Apu had set up a display and a sign featuring a Buy One, Get One Free special on bath towels and bath robes, with an additional 25% off on soaps, shampoos, and other shower-related toiletries for none other than National Shower with a Friend Day.

But the relief was very shortly lived, as she almost immediately greeted Apu with a firm reminder of "I am your boss, not your friend. Take that up with Tino, since you're both such good buddies and all."

And now, topping the list of 'things you regret saying the moment they leave your mouth'.....

UGH.

Whatever. Still better than what she'd have to be subjected to if Apu had decided to go with National Fart Day instead.

Yes, that was the entirety of the text Stark sent to Summer that morning.

And that was why Summer at first just sending Stark a picture of Apu's little Shower with a Friend Day display to let him know that, yes, she was already aware.

And this friend in particular was why she felt you didn't really need a specific day to shower with a friend, although it did help if you also had jello or mud or paintballs...

She did eventually follow it up with:

Because he was a crab and the robe and the shower were both kind of weird. Of course, he was a very weird Fandom crab so nobody really should be surprised by anything Stabby ever did.

Summer was going to need cleats to keep from falling over how smooth that was, really.

well that all depends on if i can find a friend doesn't it?

Stark was not going to point out that Summer had so many friends on the island. Stark was not an idiot.

Not only did Summer have a lot of friends on the island, but she could easily think of plenty of ways to go and find new friends, too, so, yeah, good call on that, Stark, because that response? Actually was kind of smooth.

And, for a brief moment, Summer was thinking about just leaving it at that, to see where Stark might be willing to take it from there, but the statement also had that classic Stark sincerity to it that could take this from mutual flirting to unbalanced awkwardness, and neither of them needed that right now, and, besides, se did like to make things a little easier for him sometimes.

Stark had only just recovered from the awkwardness of singing too sincerely.

Summer absolutely had better bath products in her bathroom and she had the fluffier robes. But if she wanted a slight change of scenery upstairs was available.

And that was far more important in these kinds of things, anyway. But, since she didn't want to lean on just a technicality and, even though she knew it was hardly necessary, figured it wouldn't hurt to give a little extra insurance in locking this plan down:

Which could get awkward if she did get any other Shower with a Friend Day invites actually worth considering, but, lbr, her phone wasn't exactly blowing up in that respect these days...

As if the extra insurance were ever needed with this alien.

You know, just in case the lure of the shower was too strong.

Summer would be shocked, astonished, and maybe even a little bit appalled if they actually managed to eat that pizza first and foremost.
