Fandom Island Museum, Thursday Daytime

Steven was going on holiday next week. As was most of the island, granted. But even so he wanted to leave the museum in a good position for any visitors who might pop by. So Steven was spending his work day writing up self-guided tours people could take without too much difficulty.

Of course in the meanwhile if someone wanted a guided tour or simply to pop in and say hi, there he was behind the desk. Happy to be interrupted for any visitors.

Like a lunch date, perhaps? Who was taking a moment before announcing himself to enjoy the sight of Steven hard at work.

The hard at work meant that Steven currently was lost in thought as he typed away at the computer while a forgotten pencil was perched precariously behind his ear.

Watts let himself enjoy the sight of his beau fully in his element for another moment before he chanced breaking his concentration with a “Hello, you.”

Steven looked up, surprised but not unhappily so. He smiled. "Hello y - "

And then the pencil fell down and clattered on the floor.

"Oh bugger," Steven said. He scooted his rolly chair to try to grab it.

The pencil, as it turned out, had ended up rolling towards Watts. He bent down and picked it up, holding it out for Steven to see.

“I’ve got it, darling.”

Steven smiled up at him. "My hero. Right, try that again shall we? Hello, you."

“Hello, you,” Watts repeated, moving to put the pencil down on the desk and reaching out to smooth down a lock of Steven’s hair by his ear.

Steven leaned into the touch. "You arrived just in time to save my pencil."

Ignore how it fell because Steven was saying hi to him.

“Amazing timing, that, don’t you think?” Watts said with a smile.

"It does make sense," Steven said. He moved to stand in front of Llewellyn, very close in fact. "You are amazing after all."

“Flirt,” Watts declared, before pulling him in for a kiss. “Luckily for both of us, I enjoy your flirting.”

Steven kissed him back. "Lucky thing I enjoy flirting with you. No one else, in fact."

“Just as I like it,” Watts said. “Not inclined to share.”

Steven gave him another quick kiss. "Good. Here, let me get the sign out and we can enjoy whatever wonderful thing you've made for us."

“Let’s,” Watts said, depositing his hat on the desk and holding out his arm for Steven.

Steven put the sign on the desk to indicate he was taking lunch, then hooked his arm around Llewellyn's. "Lucky me, having such a handsome escort."

Watts blushed at the compliment. “At your service,” he managed with a smile.

"Gallant too," Steven said. "I must have done something extra nice to earn this sort of companion."

“You were very kind and patient towards a man who desperately needed kindness and patience,” Watts replied.

Steven might have normally demurred, but instead he said, "I'm glad I could be what you needed. Thank you."

“You still are now, you know,” Watts pointed out. “What I need.”

Steven gave Llewellyn's arm a squeeze. "I'm glad. I hope to be what you need now and all the days to come. And nights. Entire time, really."

“I hope I can do the same for you,” Watts said. “Now and always.”

"You do," Steven assured him. "I'm never in doubt that you'll be there for me. Have my back when I need it. Help me find myself."

“Good,” Watts leaned over to press a kiss to Steven’s cheek. “You are very important to me, Steven Grant.”
