Sometimes, Summer would spend a weekend away and find a sort of relief in getting back to her usual grind at Fandom, but this time was not one of those times. There was a certain catharsis in just sort of letting your guts out like she had with Stark yesterday on the Terrace, but there was also something deeply embarrassing about it, too, and she just wanted to wallow for a little while by herself (or, well, with her cat and maybe some wine and her appointment book out to schedule a sesh with Dr. Wong about it) and deal with all the other feelings that had come along with the weekend, too, about just how good it felt to be doing space shit again.

But no, there was stuff to do and responsibilities to handle here on Earth, and, ohgod, if walking into Turtle & Canary that morning didn't immediately make her want to turn right back around and hope into her ship and fuck off to unknown space parts...

Of course, she knew about the broken Squishy machine because Prompto had texted her about it, but she was a little surprised and annoyed when she asked Apu about when the parts were going to get here so Amaya could fix it and he just shrugged and said he hadn't ordered them yet.

"What do you mean, you haven't ordered them yet?"

Apparently, he'd been waiting on her to order them.

"Jesus Christ," she pinched the bridge of her nose, "I was out, Apu! You could have ordered them! You have that authority and ability! Ugh, fine, I'll order the goddamn parts, even though that should have been done on Friday."

Not helping with quelling the whole Fuck Off To Space Again thing right now, Apu! Not. HELPING.

There was a little bit more of a pause, thanks to residual awkwardness from the whole 'sorry while I inexplicably lose my fucking mind over my probably most definitely dead best friend in your favorite part of your home ship' thing, before she added:

Followed a few moments later by i wanted to do something for you i have cupcakes

You know, Summer had a feeling Stark would answer her question something like that, and she did so very much enjoy being right about things.

not gross I promise I ordered them from the bakery sangria ones

Summer's chest had absolutely no right to do a little tug like that from reading just a single word. She was totally going to blame it on some lingering residual emotional bullshit from yesterday...

But that smirk on her face softened significantly when she read it, all the same.

He had a plan, you see. It wasn't a very complicated plan but it was a plan all the same.

well obviously it wont be as good as mine my sangria is god tier but it's hard to really go wrong with sangria
