Outside Waffle House- Friday evening/night

It was an interesting week, and Sabine figured it had to be over soon, right? She did miss being able to think straight without the pollen fog getting in the way, which was also why she decided to take a walk and get some space. It was a small town, there was a decent chance she wouldn't run into anyone and this wasn't a terrible idea!

She walked a little, and lo and behold, there was the Waffle House back after a long absence. A beacon.

For some reason there was a parking lot in front of it. Why? Listen, everyone had bigger problems this week, it was fine. Especially since there were a couple folding tables set up with a bunch of moddable kinds of alcohol and mixers, because nothing said "sex pollen party" like a tailgate in a parking lot in front of a Waffle House. Also there was a padded area back a ways but still illuminated by the 'House? Surely that wouldn't come up later.

Sabine took a picture of the setup, planning on sending it to Lana in a "hey, remember when I used to stumble on these parties in the dorms?" sort of way, and who knew how it ended up getting sent to everyone in her contacts and then some. The Fandom phone system had a long and storied history of doing weird things.

Where had Yukari been these past few weeks? Clearly, it had not been on Fandom Island, because someone had clearly not been keeping up with her classes, but there was a very good reason for that! You see, Yukari had been back in Japan, because she thought....

Well, she'd thought the semester was over, actually, and had spent the last few week blissfully playing video games at her parents' place until one night, when she went out with Nyamo, and Nyamo asked when she needed to go back to America, and Yukari just laughed at her and told her that was done now, and Nyamo looked at her very strangely and said, "No?"

And then proceeded to be a total buzzkill by pulling out a calendar and pointing out to her that, actually, no, there were several more weeks left.

So, reluctantly, Yukari started to prepare to actually return and resume her job again next week, but then a message seemed to come to her phone about a party? And she could only assume there'd be...booze at that party? And you know, what maybe she'd move that return date up a little bit after all!

And so behold! Your prodigal failure of a Japanese teacher had returned in glorious fashion just in time to party it up, Fandom! And she had definitely not been shoved aside as dozen other characters were just taking more prominence in someone else's brain, she was still really here! She might even claim she always had been, and clearly you were remembering wrong about her not holding her classes for several weeks!

Anyway...

"Wow, five days of sex pollen and this island just degenerates into all class, huh," said Margo.

Mind you, she was absolutely wearing a too-short miniskirt and a midriff-baring top at this point, so while she had plenty of leg, it was debatable how much of one she had to stand on.

Atton had just been for a walk. And he had no intention of hooking up again this week. But there was something so grotesquely fascinating about the Waffle House set-up that he did, in fact, approach.

... And would duck out again shortly before the spin-the-bottle started to take a worried phone call from his roommate. But for now: a squinting approach.

Navaan was exactly the kind of person to be lured somewhere by shiny lights and after leaving the Clinic for her shift, that's exactly what she did. Just drifted over curiously, only to perk up when she saw the booze.

And even more when she saw the hot people. Hi hot people!

It was a great idea because if nothing else there were breakfast foods here.

"This wasn't here yesterday, was it?" Belle asked. She'd been distracted this week, certainly, but she hadn't been that distracted. At least she didn't think so.

The ice cream hadn't worked, but maybe loading up on carbs would. Arden was just going to keep her eyes to herself and sneak inside for some waffles and hashbrowns and some proper sweet tea.

"Do y'all care about the--?" she asked, gesturing out the window but looking firmly at the line cook.

The cook just looked at her. "Oh right," she said with a nod. "Duh. Waffle House."

This place was perfect.

Remember that padded area where you could all sit in a circle? Well there was a Coke bottle on its side in the center that you couldn't pick up, and would only move by spinning. Obviously you needed to use it in the traditional way.
