Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

Supposedly the warehouse was to be finished by today, so Rey was waiting before coming in. She didn't want to ruin the surprise for herself.

Thus, she was sitting in front of the warehouse, near the door, waiting. Patiently. Definitely not impatiently. Nope.

Anakin finally cracked the door to the warehouse open, looking like he hadn't slept since Wednesday.

Because, well. He hadn't slept since Wednesday.

"It's ready."

"Great," she said, and checked, "Are you okay?"

"Not even a little," Anakin said, "but I'll work it out."

[thatwaslucky]

"Do you want to talk?"

Hadn't even jumped inside yet.

"Not yet," Anakin admitted. "...the obstacle course might be a little punishing."

Anakin for "impossible." He'd been working some things out while making it.

"Okay," she said, a little more worried than excited now. "Ready for me?"

"I think so," Anakin said. "Come on in."

Rey nodded, and absolutely remembered to avoid the quicksand from last week. Once she was on the ground, she looked around to see the changes.

Which included what looked like a net tunnel hanging from the rafters, something that swung up in a circle, and was that lava?

"The lava might change," Anakin said. "I was...having a moment."

"Let me guess?" Because Rey knew his lava moment.

[sith_happened]

"Wednesday was not great," Anakin vastly understated, confirming her thought.

[thatwaslucky]

"Was it that conversation finally?" she guessed.

[sith_happened]

Anakin nodded. "Ahsoka without a filter."

[thatwaslucky]

"And you without one?"

Not to say she told you so but there was a reason she suggested having this talk before now. Which Rey would never ever ever say.

"Yeah," Anakin said shortly. "I don't enjoy being that exposed."

She just went to hug him. The course could wait a bit.

Anakin hugged her back, holding on tightly.

"I'm proud of you." Even if it wasn't something he could control.

[sith_happened]

"I'm not," Anakin murmured. "There's not much of my life to be proud of."

"You're taking accountability," she said.

[sith_happened]

"Well, I don't exactly lean into that punch," Anakin said.

"You could have leaned out and left, too," Rey said.

[sith_happened]

"That's not me either," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"So I'm proud of you," she said firmly.

[sith_happened]

"Thanks," Anakin said softly.
