When Summer came into the bar that evening, Tino would not shut up about the kid he had with Tiny or the even more secret love child he'd had with Apu, and was threatening to show Summer pictures of them. She honestly wanted to call his bluff on the Apu kid, since Apu definitely didn't mention anything about a kid on Monday, but, then again, if it was a super secret love child...

...anyway, Summer decided that ignorance was definitely bliss, and decided to take a risk and inform Tino that she'd be happy to look at all his kid pictures from last week if she also got to show him hers.

She fluttered her eyelashes innocently at him as she held up her phone, almost like a brandished weapon ready to strike, and he looked back and seemed to be weighing a lot of things before muttering something and going back to cleaning glasses. And Summer, triumphant, went back to setting things up for herself as well.

Although so help her, she was actually kind of wondering now and kept wondering if she should, just to satiate that morbid curiosity after all....

And "All across the board" OOC note in general, may be dealing with a very sick kitty today, as well as work, so "SCATTERED AT BEST" is the name of the game.

Looking over the drink specials today, Dean immediately knew Tino had very little to do with them.

But that last jello shot made Dean wince.

"Hey Summer. I think I'm going to have to work up to that spaghetti-o shot," Dean said, eyeing the board warily.

Look, Summer fucking loved a theme, okay?

"That's fair," she allowed, though there was a pleased smile and a swell of pride in her as she did. "How do you think you want to get there?"

Consider she was already sort of reaching for a bottle, she may have had a hunch.

"Am I that predictable?" Dean joked. "Yes. We'll start off with the whiskey please. And just the bottom shelf, I don't need the grandiose stuff."

It was a normal Wednesday! Thank the Force.

Atton, wearing the shirt that read I Am A Worst Case Scenario in white letters on black, slid into a seat. Plotting some punk songs, that kind of thing. "Still getting rid of the last of the candy, huh."

"No," Summer assured him, although, also, like, she was lying, "I'm just a really good fucking bartender, and I like you too much for bottom shelf."

Plus, she was already opening the bottle.

"I'll get you bottom shelf pricing, though, deal?"

Liliana hadn't been on this plane long enough to start learning the various types of candies and breakfast cereals and the like, so much of the board was getting a suspicious glance from her. And there was no chance in the Abyss that Ignis would allow Spaghetti-Os in their house, so she had absolutely no clue what those were, but their position on the board and the closeness of the name to spaghetti had her wary. Hmm.

She might watch Dean take his shots first and then decide.

Summer eyed that shirt with an expression that was clearly impressed with his subtly, really.

"It's called a theme, Atton," she said, "and literally only one of those even is candy, geez. Which ones do you want to try?"

"See this is a conspiracy between you and Lana, isn't it?" Dean joked. "You get me used to the good stuff and then I can't enjoy my crappy whiskey."

See, Liliana. You were smart. Summer appreciated that about you.

"Hey, Liliana," said Summer, with a smirk toward all that warmness and more than a little pride for it, too. "How's it going?"

"Ah good, you're here, darling, I was hoping to run into you today," Liliana said, sliding her drinks down the bar to join him. "I was unfortunately distracted this past weekend, but I have a very important question for you. Where do I purchase a pazaak deck or two for my own?"

Look, she'd had fun with it, even above and beyond it being an excellent way to avoid speaking!

It wasn't a hint! He'd had this shirt for four weeks! He liked it!

... it also helped him channel his general feelings about being a trashfire into a single garment instead of sarcastic commentary, so, you know, everyone came out ahead or something.

"I mean, they're all flooded with sugar," Atton pointed out. "Well, except maybe the Spaghetti-O's. I'm kind of terrified of that one, actually."

He'd pick one in a second.

Atton blinked, and then registered that apparently he had actually converted someone to the objectively best card game in the galaxy, and sat up. "Uh, in my galaxy, mainly," he said. "I can get you the right portal coordinates if you want. Just don't let 'em portal you straight into Nar Shaddaa. I'm not sure anyone there would survive that."

Oh look it was Dean appearing with a very expensive glass of bourbon for Liliana.

"There's my favorite baby momma," he teased as he put the glass down in front of her.

Aww, Atton, you said the sweetest things.

"What's Nar Shaddaa and why does it sound like ignoring your advice would be a delightfully bad idea?" she asked.

"Oh, just a place where criminals, war refugees, and the destitute all come together to create a free-for-all of vice," Atton said lightly. "It's a moon that belongs to the Hutts, a species famous for running criminal enterprises. So..."

"Those mostly look really good," Rey noted as she took her seat.

"So I had a conversation with one of the guys who runs Luke's diner," Dean said, sliding up next to Atton and speaking in a sotto tone. "He doesn't seem to think this Anakin Skywalker guy is evil or behind the bad things that happen here."

"Geez, Rey," Summer greeted back with a smirk. "Don't sound so surprised. Good enough, you think, to want to give them all a try?"

It was worth a shot!

"Sounds like a guy who's escaped from Wednesdays in the summer," Atton commented, "Or someone who's blissfully managed to avoid Skywalker most days."

He and Anakin had had another blowup last week, so he was not in a mood to be sympathetic. Or, you know. Not slander Anakin.

"Yesterday was exactly perfect and today has continued the upward trend from the weekend," Liliana declared. "My plan is to finish detoxing from all the enforced parental responsibilities with hard alcohol and convincing Atton to play more pazaak with me." She gave Summer a vulpine grin. "Would you like to join us? It will only be my second time playing so I do hope you'll go easy on me."
