Prom 2024, Community Center, Friday Evening

This year's prom theme was "A Museum Night" - the Community Center's walls were covered in replicas of beautiful paintings along with some originals that matched the general flower theme. The paintings were safe, but the frames had some glitter on them, because of course they did.

There was a variety of moddable food and drinks which currently seemed untainted, and the dance floor was open for a fabulous time!

"Still can't believe I have finished classes and graduated, we're engaged, and we're wrapping up another class here at Fandom. It's all so much and I can't wait to see what the next journey will be!"

"I know," Cutter said happily, "I can't wait to see what happens either, we've gone through so much together and now we can continue to work on the future that we've talked about,"

"There's a lot we have to figure out but I am excited to see it all pan out. I'm still not sure where to look as far as classes go now that I have the degree" he admitted. "I'd still like to teach here at Fandom but... maybe a class over the summer at the Univerity or something might be good?"

Cutter smiled, "that sounds like a great idea," he encouraged, "I can talk to the university, I still have some contacts left and see if you can assist one of the classes over the summer, Have a go at teaching university level?"

"I think that might be good. Test the waters so to speak without having to jump in all the way right off the bat" Connor said thoughtfully. "See what specific classes or topics they need help with."

"Then I'll call the university on Monday," Cutter said as he thought about time differences and when the best time to call would be, "see what arrangements I can make, I know you're going to be an amazing teacher Connor," he smiled.

"Thank you Nick, I appreciate it" Connor said as he reached out and took his fiance's hand and smiled. "I made it this far thanks to your help and support and encouragement Nick. No matter where it goes from here I just know I want to do this with you right here beside me."

Cutter smiled as he held his fiancé's hand happily, "its my pleasure Connor," he said warmly, "you deserve all of this and so much more and I'll be right by your side the whole time," he promised.

"It's nice to think about isn't it? Where things might go... teaching... us together... the visit from Teddy and Tabby..." Connor looked up at Cutter and smiled, his face flushing slightly.

Cutter's own cheeks were flushing as well, "its very nice thinking about that future, our goals ... having children, I would love to have all of those things with you Connor," he smiled shyly.

"There's not much that would make me happier than I am right now" Connor said as he smiled, looking down at his hand holding Cutter's and the ring on his finger. "But making a life, having a family with you, that would be amazing."

Cutter smiled at that, his cheeks going even redder, "that would be amazing, it would be perfect," he said happily.

"First step of many. We can look and find something for you as well. If I get set up with a full teaching job at some point, could have you come and help me with classes" he said with a soft smile, knowing Cutter missed teaching and how hard it would be for him to do it on his own with his record now public. "But that is something down the line. We will figure it out."

Cutter nodded, he had been wondering about his career especially now with his reputation being destroyed but he knew as long as he had Connor everything would be fine, "I would really like that, it would be like the learner has become the Master," he said, quoting from a certain movie that he knew Connor would like.

Connor broke into a huge grin at that. "Aye, something like that" he said as he reached over and gave Cutter a hug. "Gonna make you proud though whatever happens. I promise."

Cutter returned that hug, "I'm already proud of you Connor," he said with a smile, "you're going to be a wonderful teacher," he assured him.

"Thank you Nick. That means a lot to me" Connor said with a smile as he let go of the hug. "Think this calls for another drink no?" he said with a grin and a nod towards the drink table.

Cutter smiled and nodded, "I definitely think this calls for a drink," he agreed, "and maybe even a dance later?" he asked shyly.

"I will hold you to that" Connor said with a smile as he gave Cutter a quick hug and a kiss then headed to the drink table to get them another refill.
