Turtle & Canary; Monday [05/13].

With Paintball to start her day, the exact details of Summer's mood where she walked into Turtle & Canary were still to be determined, but the mood once she did was pretty immediately decided.

Because when she walked into the store, she was greeted with a whole lot of frog just let loose and hopping around the store, and as one stopped right in front of her and she looked down at it and it looked back at her and ribbited, she immediately shouted for Apu for an explanation.

And now Summer was just staring at Apu.

"That's not what Frog Jumping Day means!!"

She was also pretty sure that as an establishment that sold food, this was breaking so many health codes, even the ones that were graciously ignored in that their cheese guy was a freaking panda, so she demanded that the frogs be collected immediately.

Even if she had to admit, okay, yeah, the little frog-sized fighter jets Apu had been working on in an effort to combine this day with another one was kind of adorable, though.

When Dean stepped into T&C there was a moment where he debated whether he should just walk away or just shop.

The lack of supplies back home won out. So by the time he reached the register there were two bottles of whiskey, five microwavable burritos and three frogs.

"Do I still get the newbie discount or am I just now part of the scenery here," he asked as he approached the counter.

"Well I just caught the frogs because I could. You own the place so whatever discount you want to give is fine by me. Even if it is just because I'm pretty," Dean said with a smirk. "And did someone do this or should I be worried about a biblical plague?"

Because of course that's where Dean's mind went.

"Well maybe you could turn this all around somehow," Dean said looking at the frogs throughout the store. "Maybe one of the restaurants on the island wants to serve up frog legs as a special."

"... I regret everything."

It was there. Deep set regret in his eyes.

"I may have to skip Caritas this week," Dean replied. "Not because of the shot but because I help inspire the shot."

"Yeah, that's on me," Dean admitted. "I went out and did a few jobs and also was spending some time with people. However with me 'teaching' a class this Summer I'll probably be around more Wednesday nights."

Stewart was, of course, greatly dismayed by the utter lack of dollar store parking lots....even youth hall parking lots!...in this town, but he figured he could try to make do with what was available. After all, he didn't have Roald or Connor or Darien with him, so he didn't need a whole parking lot.

All he needed as a boom box, a piece of cardboard, and a storefront. He had the first two, and Turtle & Canary had the last.

And so, when he was finished with his classes and after a great deal of deliberation, Stewart had picked up a song to start the mix tape he'd slipped, let the intro build him up with his eyes closed, shoulders shifting and shaking up and down until finally.....that drop hit, and the dancing had begun.
