Caritas; Wednesday [07/10].
Tino was telling Summer all about his weekend, which sounded enough like any other weekend that Tino would tell her about that she started to become increasingly uncertain as to whether or not, from what he was telling her, he had actually been affected by the weekend at all. She tried to ask some revealing questions to help her pin it down a little more, but to no avail. Each answer seemed as frustratingly vague and uncertain as the last.
So finally, she just straight up and asked how old he was now and how old he was during the weekend, to which he just gasped and got all offended that she would even ask him something like that, and then he gave her the cold shoulder for the rest of the shift.
Which, really, was Summer preferred state of being behind the bar, so it all kind of worked out, really.
Cocktail Special
Pink Gin Martini
Jello Specials
Black Sesame Pudding
White Russian
Blue Hawaiian
Red Velvet

Re: The Bar - 07/10.
Well, just the one, actually, which she knew hadn't been one at all, but it was generally easier to chalk it up as one and move on than anything else.
She hesitated, and swallowed down the urge to say that she had a good time on Friday, too, with another gulp of her drink, bolstering herself to move on from getting too deep into that as she looked over at Kamala again.
"I had a really good time, too." It babbled out of her even though she was pretty sure she'd washed it down, her words apparently one of the few things she couldn't control after they were spit out of her. And mortified with herself as she was that she'd said it, she still didn't drop her eyes again.
She did, however, try again to say what she was actually attempting to.
"Do you know what you're going to sing already?"
Re: The Bar - 07/10.
She tilted her drink back and drank it all in one gulp. Which probably would have looked cool if it wasn't a mocktail. She stood up and started to walk off before stopping and returning to Eleanor.
"By the way? You looked adorable in that bunny costume."
And with a smile she went to the stage to sing
Re: The Bar - 07/10.
Honestly, she almost felt like the aesthetics of their respective costumes should have been switched to better suit them.
But, with that, she settled in with at least the crowd of the bar and the fact that Kamala was going to be busy with her song to just sort off watch her, and feel that heat shift and come back in different ways throughout it, not even aware of the soft smile on her face as she just got up there and had an absolute blast with it, the way she seemed to be able to do with everything, and she just felt such a swell of admiration and envy over that, a feeling that fueled her cheering once the song was finished, which was then additionally fueled by Arden's cheering as well.
"Well, now I see," she said, once she could bring herself to drift over to Kamala again, "why you wanted to do karaoke."
And karaoke wasn't fair.

Re: The Bar - 07/10.
You'd think, one cryptid would have known another a little better than that...but, well, maybe if she'd have stuck around, they'd have discovered more family in West Virginia after all.
Re: The Bar - 07/10.
And then taking a gamble she slowly reached out to take Eleanor's hand. Did she notice her hand was different? Yes. Did she care? No.
"Are you having a good time?"
Re: The Bar - 07/10.
Until it fully processed that Kamala was holding her hand. The internal panic rushed in quickly after that, especially since she couldn't exactly just pull her hand away. What kind of message would that send? And it would make everything awkward, when they were supposed to be having just a fun, carefree night out with friends. And of course she didn't want to let go, but she really should, there was no way any of this could end any way but badly...
"Mmhm," Eleanor managed, nodding a little, and she really didn't mean to hold your hand back quite so tightly back, Kamala; she'd realize in a moment and loosen her hand and try to pretend she didn't make some attempt to crush yours. "I am. Thank you. I....always have a good time with you guys."
Re: The Bar - 07/10.
And yes, her hand was being held tightly but it didn't make Kamala feel uncomfortable. Instead she squeezed Eleanor's hand back just to show Eleanor that for her this was a connection she wanted to make.
"Because we have a good time with you too."
She tilted her head towards the stage. "Would you like to do a group number up on the stage with us? Is there a song you know that you'd like to do with us?"
Re: The Bar - 07/10.
Eleanor shook her head a little. "Unless you're all caught up on really old Greek songs, I don't really even know where to start with suggestion. I'm happy to just follow your lead, though."
Re: The Bar - 07/10.
“Nope. No Greek songs for me,” she admitted. “And you did let Arden drag you up there so if you want to just hang out here with me that’s cool too.”
She paused a moment to try and out together the next few words carefully. “Just so you know, this whole dating thing is new to me too. I’ve only been on one date before this and it was only because his mother wanted an artifact from me. I mean, I’ve never even kissed anyone outside of my family before.”
And then she realized how that sounded. “I mean, not on the lips. That would be weird. Look, all I’m saying is that I’m new to dating too. So if I screw something up or make you feel uncomfortable just tell me so I can make it right.”
Re: The Bar - 07/10.
"Kam," she said, with more wryness than she felt, "I'm always uncomfortable."
Just so she knew, it wasn't her at all. Especially when actually? This was pretty damn comfortable right now.
So of course she was probably about to ruin it, in typical Eleanor fashion, but she had to ask.
"But," she ventured, hesitated, then pushed herself forward again, "does that mean...is that what this...are we? Dating?"
Re: The Bar - 07/10.
There was some back and forth finger pointing going on there.
"And hopefully you feel the same way. Despite you always feeling uncomfortable."
She couldn't help but tease Eleanor just a tad.
Re: The Bar - 07/10.
"I do...feel the same way," Eleanor said, sort of marveling at the words that were actually coming out of her mouth. "I would also like to date you."
What a wild understatement.
"But..."
(Always a but).
"I think...we should maybe...talk about it. A little. Not now," she added, hastily; no need to ruin the night with that
and steal Cal's thunder. Tonight was just about enjoying themselves, right? "But maybe....over coffee, or something. Because you..."Her hand gestured emphatically toward her.
"You're like an open book, Kam. And I love that about you. You're just so...confident. and assured. And..." She couldn't help a small smile here, "...comfortable in who you are. But me? There's....so much going on under here..."
Literally, even! See aforementioned fathomless void!
"And it's...a lot. So...fair warning."
Re: The Bar - 07/10.
...
"Okay, can I get a redo on that because it sounded better in my head and when it came out it was just bad/
Re: The Bar - 07/10.
"You can definitely get a redo," she decided.
But, boy, when it came to books, Eleanor sure hoped Kamala liked horror.
