Stewart still wasn't exactly sure what that had even been last weekend, except for perhaps a very startling look at the horror of sobriety. What was the opposite of being scared straight? Because that's what a weekend of being some schmoozy corporate record producer who'd been clean for a solid chunk of time had done for Stewart, and the last week was spent in sort of a daze of apparently trying to rectify those five sober years in the future in the present. He didn't even remember what had happened at the activity on Wednesday, which made him think he should probably come up just a little bit, and that's what had him dragging himself into the store that day, to at least have some semblance of productivity.

Although it mostly just meant sulking on his phone with Roald and listening to a lot of Porter Robinson and Illenium and wondering if it was funk, actually, that he needed to get himself out of this funk.
