Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

Rey was back from an unexpectedly long trip home as of this morning, and after she got settled, she'd gone to the warehouse as usual.

In her absence, the woodchucks had recruited the raccoons and thrown what was basically a kegger. It looked like the aftermath of a teen movie party, and now someone (all the woodland creatures on the island, apparently) were in trouble with the parents (Rey).

She'd shooed everyone out and was now cleaning up, occasionally saying things like, "When did this place become a zoo?"

Anakin was not a cat any longer, though he still felt the urge to arch up his back and hiss every now and then. He hoped that would wear off soon.

"Rey?" he called, entering the warehouse.

"Yeah," she said, clearly annoyed from where she was mopping.

Mopping! Like...

[sith_happened]

"Why are you mopping?" Anakin asked.

[thatwaslucky]

"The woodchucks threw a party."

She was so mad.

[sith_happened]

Anakin wrinkled up his nose. "And didn't clean up. That's inconsiderate."

[thatwaslucky]

"It's irresponsible and disrespectful and the only reason they're not cleaning up is because I don't trust them," she said. "The raccoons are a bad influence."

A normal statement.

So normal!

"They are," Anakin said, nodding and frowning at the woodchucks. They didn't care at all.

[thatwaslucky]

"Would you like to help?" she asked.

She might hand him the mop either way.

[sith_happened]

"Not really, but I will," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"Thank you," she said, handing over the mop. "I'll get the trash bags."

"Ugh," Anakin said, mopping and grumbling.

[thatwaslucky]

"I'm concerned we've let this go too far," Rey said, loudly waving the garbage bag to open it on the inside.

"We could just dumb all of it into the lava," Anakin suggested.

[thatwaslucky]

"We could," she said. "What else are you going to do with lava?"

[sith_happened]

"I'm afraid to ask if anyone fell in during their party," Anakin admitted.

[thatwaslucky]

Rey stopped, looking horrified. The woodchucks wouldn't be so blase if that had happened, right?

"I have no reason to think that it happened," he added hastily, "but...lava. And the quicksand."

[thatwaslucky]

"Maybe we need to section those off when we're not here," she said.

[sith_happened]

Anakin appreciated that "section off" was her suggestion and not "eliminate the clearly insane and dangerous segments of this warehouse."

"Or they could just not throw parties in your warehouse," Anakin countered.

You did this to her, Anakin. You did this.

"And how do you propose we get them to agree to that?"

[sith_happened]

"Well, you're a Jedi," Anakin said. "Negotiate."

[thatwaslucky]

"Yeah, I've never done that," she said. "It's mostly just..."

And that was her miming swinging a lightsaber with one hand.

"Aggressive negotiations," Anakin concluded, grinning.

[thatwaslucky]

"I don't know how how well that would go over with them," she pointed out.

[sith_happened]

"The aggressive ones?" Anakin asked, "or the part where they can't throw parties unless they rope off the parts of the warehouse that could maim their friends?"
