Caritas; Wednesday [07/24].

When Summer came into the bar that evening, there was already a customer at the bar, being helped by Tino, and definitely not one of the regulars. It was, in fact, a grey striped cat with a tiny sombrero on, all but clinging to a little shot glass with a bottle of tequila next to him.

Summer took one look at that, had about a million questions, and then, shaking her head, decided it was probably not worth asking even a single one of them. She was just going to let Tino handle that one as she went about setting up her shots and what she'll need for her cocktails tonight, and just leave them to their own devices.

She was cutting the cat off, though, once it came around that Tino told him that she had a cat, too, and now the cat was apparently trying to get Pancakes' number, which, no. Absolutely not.

Where, at one point, that cat is absolutely getting up and doing Despacito.

Where Summer will not appreciate anyone trying to get her cat's number.

Her number, on the other hand, is a different story, but she's pretty sure everyone already has that?

Harley had taken a day or two to recuperate from all her indulging on Saturday, her mid-thirties weren't quite so bad yet that she wasn't back to normal by Wednesday.

So here she was, with the usual level of spring to her step as she made her way to the bar. And yes, she noticed the non-regular: "Aww, a kitty!"

"I think that kitty is definitely going through some stuff right now," Summer stated, as either a warning or maybe encouragement, she wasn't entirely sure, actually. She shook her head and sighed a little, then smiled much more easily at Harley.

"Hey, Harley," she said. "How's it going?"

"Great!"

As always. Even if this time it came with a lingering look on the cat, before Harley's attention moved on fully.

"I should get a little hat like that."

... Okay, so it didn't exactly move.

"I bet if you asked him nicely," Summer offered, "he might let you borrow it. You wouldn't happen to know any single or available lady cats, would you? I think he might be willing to give it to you if you hooked him up."

She'd briefly thought about finally offering up Pancakes' in exchange for the hat now, but, no. No. She couldn't do that to poor Pancakes. That cat knew where she lived.

"Oh, I don't want that hat," Harley clarified, with a shake of her head. "It looks great on him, but on me? Prob'ly just turns into a costume I shouldn't be wearing."

Or something.

"Also I don't know any single cats, sorry. Maybe he'd be willing to go cross-species?"

And now Summer was considering the cat with fresh eyes.

"You think he'd be into really obnoxious, pushy, and stubborn squirrels with drinking problems?"

Her head tilted slightly. "Cross-species definitely can work. But what about cross-drinking preferences? Is the real star-crossed romance here between tequila and rum, rather than feline and rodent?"

"I mean," Harley said, tilting her head like she was giving it some serious thought, "I would say they should just keep an open mind, and broaden their drinking horizons!"

Stark definitely had her number! He wasn't aware Pancakes had a phone of her own though.

"Hi."

A little smile, a little lean across the bar for a little kiss hello.

"One of everything tonight?"

There were many things about that cat that not even Summer knew, Stark.

"Not yet," Summer replied, with a small smile right back before meeting him for that little kiss hello. That all lingered for just a moment before she started setting out the shots in a neat little row and started working on the cocktail. "And you seem to be in a good mood. I take it that means you didn't get called for shenanigans still?"

Pancakes was a Cat of Mystery, to be sure.

"Still nothing," Stark confirmed. "I stayed to watch today. It was...odd. It always is. So I still worry but for now things are fine for another week."

Right? Right.

He picked up the tea shot first. It seemed like the oddest of the bunch even though it wouldn't be that odd at all.

"Good day so far?"

Aside from whatever Tino was up to but 'aside from what Tino was up to' was pretty much a given.

Where there are, thankfully, no tequila-drinking cats on the prowl.

Yet.

Where surprisingly few bad life choices have been made lately.
