Parents Weekend Meet & Greet, Friday
It was nice for an October Friday, wasn't it? The leaves were falling artfully, and there was a slight chill, but it wasn't so cold that it would leave anyone shivering. And if, for some reason, they were, well-- the hot apple cider stand near the edge of the Park would probably help.
There was a merry banner in Fandom's colors floating above the picnic tables, reading--
PARENTS WEEKEND 2024! WELCOME!
-- and a squirrel band was playing interpretations of modern pop songs on very small squirrel instruments under one of the trees.
Welcome, parents and other friends and family.
[[ ocd up! you're all good to go with your apps ]]

Re: Food and Drinks [PW 2024]
Dean's face was now showing just how much trouble he realized he was in. "I'm going to have to make a spa appointment now, aren't I?"
Bobby just smiled. "I've known this boy since he was 8 years old. If you want stories, I have them," he promised Jane.
Re: Food and Drinks [PW 2024]
Would Dean being there help stop Bobby?
Re: Food and Drinks [PW 2024]
Dean already had his phone out and was checking the local spa for appointments because this was his life now. "Suddenly I think this was a bad idea the two of you meeting," Dean grumbled.
"Oh, I'm not going to lie but this is better than the weekend I thought I was going to have," Bobby said with a hearty laugh.
Re: Food and Drinks [PW 2024]
Which wasn't even a weak excuse!
Re: Food and Drinks [PW 2024]
"She's the king of new Asgard," Dean explained. "Try to keep up."
"I'm going to need something stronger than punch and soda to keep up," Bobby complained.
Re: Food and Drinks [PW 2024]
Which she'd for sure remember to postRe: Food and Drinks [PW 2024]
"So let me get this straight," Bobby said pausing as he absorbed all of this. "You're a Nobel nominated astrophysicist, the God of Thunder and you tend bar??"
"I know right?" Dean said with a big grin. "She's perfect."

"Didn't Jack tell you anything?" Dean said jabbing his thumb toward the castle and then nodded back at Jane. "She teaches there as well."
"Well, that makes sense," Bobby said with a nod as he stole some of Dean's food off the plate. "Being an Astrophysicist and all."

“So it’s not astrophysics,” Bobby said doubtfully.
“It’s about mythology,” Dean said with his mouth full of food. “I’m her best student.”
Which was debatable.
“You’re taking classes?” Bobby asked incredulously.
Because that was unbelievable.

"In my defense I was hungover from drinking with raccoons the night before," Dean pointed out. "It was also a movie day."
"And you're going to school," Bobby reiterated. "Purposefully."
Clearly Dean going to a class was weirder than drinking with raccoons.
"Is it that hard to-" Dean stopped and acknowledge the situation. "Yes, weird huh?"

“I feel like I’m in the twilight zone,” Bobby joked and gave Jane a smile. “Clearly you’ve been a good influence on him.”

Bobby rolled his eyes at him. “I’ve always known Dean was a good man. A good influence?”
He held up his hand and let it teter back and forth.
Dean frowned at Bobby. “Really? You can’t let me have this?”
Bobby just burst out laughing in response. “I’m just giving you crap, son.”

Bobby just smiled as he watched the two of them. “I never had kids of my own. Dean and Sam were the closest things I had to having my own sons. It’s good to see them settling down instead of off on the road facing who knows what.”
