Obviously, Summer was going all in on the Halloween themed jello shots, and she was even maybe using the fact that it was so close to Halloween to also dress up like an old timey bartender tonight (but with a pink vest, of course), while she was slinging drinks tonight.

After she got done clearing out all the fake cobwebs and spiderwebs from everything, anyway, and going into a rant at Tino about how sometimes, yeah, too much really is fucking too much, and this was coming from her, soooo....you know....

This whole thing did have the added benefit of discovering that fake cobwebs actually did make for pretty decent zombie adhesive. Who'd've thunk it??

"I am literally pulling something out of the trunk of my car that I haven't used in ages," Dean admitted. "Hopefully it still fits. I should probably wash it ahead of time."

"Yes," said Summer, with a firm nod of approval. "Perfect. Exactly the vibe I was hoping for, please, Halloween gods, let it be actually slightly too small now. I am thrilled to see what you have literally just scrounged out of from the back of your car."

Dean had paused for a second at the mention of Halloween gods, thinking back several years ago to-

So instead he downed a shot. "I feel like I am going to be relentlessly mocked for my choice tomorrow," he joked. "Please realize that I am a kind and gentle soul and haven't even brought up your outfit right now."

"I don't know what you're talking about " Summer said loftily with a toss of her ponytail and a snort. "Kind and gentle? I look cute as fuck right now. And I'm going to look even cuter tomorrow night."

You didn't honestly think she was going to wear the same costume two nights in a row, did you, Dean?

"Is that so? What are you going as? And is it at least as easy as pulling something from the trunk of a car?" Dean teased.

"Probaby not as easy for you," Summer said, "although I'd be really impressed if you could just pull it out of the trunk of your car. I'm obviously not telling you what it is, though, Dean. You'll just have to wait until tomorrow night to see it."

"You are one of those families that make you wait until Christmas day to open your presents, aren't you?" Dean teased.

Clearly Dean has no idea what being a part of Summer's family entails.

"No, Dean," said Summer, rolling her eyes, "I'm just a person who appreciates a little drama and anticipation and a good reveal.

"Ugh," her nose wrinkled, "but my dad is one of those people. There was one Christmas when he tried to insist that no one could even touch their phones so that we could 'actually connect like humans and not robots.' Well, that was the Christmas he learned that is parents were in a kinky cuckolding throuple and a giant vagrant Santa Claus exploded and rained his guts all over the city, so he sure learned that lesson pretty quickly."

What. You were the one who brought up her family, Dean, sooo....

Dean had been about to start on the ear Jell-O shot when he heard THAT story. “And I thought my Christmas traditions were messed up.”

"Christmas isn't even the fucked up one, either," Summer pointed out. "The last few years, we've had to do full-on Thanksgiving lockdowns. Though that mostly has to do with my grampa and the president's unresolved sexual tension."

Like. Seriously. Those two just needed to bang already.

"What sort of messed up traditions do you have?"

“Well, usually our gifts came from the local gas station down from the hotel and were usually exchanged after we killed some kind of ghost or pagan god,” Dean admitted. “Oh and pie.”
