Pizza Planet, Thursday Evening

As soon as Lydia had realized what the island had done this time, she had called Pizza Planet to ask if they needed to reschedule the Supper Club, but Mr. Raiden had assured her they could still be accommodated, and she was choosing to take him at his word. She supposed some menu items might not be available, but she was terribly grateful to not have to shift for herself without so much as a dull butter knife.

"Oh!" she exclaimed as she remembered something. "While we are all assembled, I would like to hear your thoughts on the continuation of the Supper Club. There are still a few dining establishments left on the island we have not tried yet, but then we must decide how to move forward. I have had both moving over to the mainland to expand our options and beginning the rotation of the island's eateries anew proposed to me, and I would quite like to know if there is a consensus on how best to proceed. What does everyone think?"

Ignis had to admit, although ig was hardly a favorite of his, pizza did seem the most logical choice in the current circumstances, although he couldn't help but wonder if the pizza cutters had also become candy canes, and, if so, would it be calzones all around?

And he also considered Miss Bennet's question, to which, of course, he'd have an opinion to offer on.

"Well, it certainly does seem like it would be a great mantle missed opportunity to have portal travel available to us and not take advantage of it to explore well beyond the island's fine kitchens, though it does seem to diminish a bit of the community spirit that the club seems to encompass, doesn't it? I'd certainly support whatever direction seems to suit the club best from this point on."

Look, the last time she'd eaten here, it was a Papa Johns. Raiden had only himself to blame for her wariness.

"Hello, Ignis," Adrian said, his footsteps juuuust slightly louder than normal as he approached, and then softening again once he'd spoken. "You're quite the chef, I believe I heard? How was your morning when you got to the kitchen and realized what had happened to all of the cutlery?"

Percy had no idea what this "pizza" was, but hunger and the enthusiastic recommendation of a local NPCitizen had led him here.

What he certainly did not anticipate was stumbling into what appeared to be a meeting of a community group—one he was not invited to.

"My sincerest apologies!" Percy said politely. "I had no idea this was a club meeting of sorts. I’m new in town and was told by a rather enthusiastic passerby that I must try this 'pizza,' which they assured me was, and I quote, 'out of this world.'"

He hesitated, his tone softening into genuine inquiry. "If it’s not an imposition, may I purchase my dinner here? I promise to remain unobtrusive and will make every effort not to interrupt any important club business."

"Ah, well," Ignis offered, with a faint smile and an almost immediate sense of kinship toward the alleged newbie based on diction and voice alone, "I daresay that by purchasing your dinner here, you are quite engaged in our club business already, as it were. And with our membership as loose and open as it is, I can't imagine anyone begrudging you for merely deigning to do precisely what we ourselves have gathered here to do! As a matter of fact, it might behoove us all to simply ask you to join us, if that is the case."

There was the slightest of pauses before he felt compelled to add, "Though I fear calling it 'out of this world' is a bit hyperbolic."

He was only trying to temper expectations! And hoping that Raiden was well out of earshot if he might be about, as well.

"Oh, sir, you are welcome to join us!" Lydia assured him. "The Supper Club is open to all, and we are always pleased to have new members." Someone had to make up for Flint and Logan's conversational deficiencies, after all. "Welcome! I am Miss Lydia Bennet," she said with a neat curtsey. "I do not believe I have seen you about the town before."

A new face! Flint gave the person a nod. "I prefer when people are unobtrusive," he said. He didn't know many people who were unobtrusive, but he felt like he'd like them.

"I like the idea of going off island," Rey admitted. "I've seen very little of the restaurants out there, unless they've been in town temporarily."

Also she was wearing like two sweaters and fingerless gloves that she was going to have to take off, cold was stupid.

"I know from Professor Raiden's class that there are many cuisines we have not yet experienced," Lydia mused. "Why, there isn't even an English restaurant here!" There was a reason for that, Lydia.

Liliana looked over at Rey's attire and nodded in approval. "This temperature is unnecessary."

That wasn't a sulk, she was far too dignified for that.

Flint, never one to be in a cheerful mood, was downright dour today due to the completely unnecessary destruction of his knives. (Would he attempt to stab someone to death with a candy cane? Don't bet against it.)

And he'd definitely not missed socializing the last several weeks! Don't be silly! He just...wished to try new things.

Oh! Oh! Did someone need an opinion! Liliana was here to help.

"Darling, Supper Club remains Supper Club wherever it takes place," Liliana drawled. "I loathe saying something so trite, but as someone who traverses various realities, I can assure you, it is the people that make up the club." She waved a hand. "Spend three weeks eating at restaurants elsewhere and then one week here on the island if we really feel that being on the island is a necessary part of the ambience. Introduce little challenges and things: how does Taste of Thai compare to real Thai food? Try something at a restaurant that you do not recognize. That kind of thing.

"I'm fine with whatever," Adrian said with a shrug and a bit of a smile. "Most of the restaurants on the island, I've only managed to try a single dish, so we've still got plenty to explore right here."

Percy leaned over the table, inspecting the strange dish with a mix of curiosity and apprehension. A circular flatbread, thickly laden with tomato sauce, melted cheese, and an assortment of savory toppings—sausages and thinly sliced rounds of what appeared to be cured meat.

“This is... pizza?” he asked as he adjusted his glasses. "I must admit, I imagined something far different. These toppings seem almost unnecessary."

He leaned in closer. “Curious. It smells quite inviting. It’s as though someone looked at a meat pie and thought, ‘What if it were flat and with no top crust?’”
