Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

Rey was doing drills in a Snuggie today.

You know what, it was cold and she still hadn't completely blocked out the draft in here, and this wasn't really much different than what a cape or a robe would be, and who doesn't want to be cozy while battling invisible enemies?

This thing had better not disappear tomorrow.

Guess who was also rocking a Snuggie? A stealth Snuggie that he might not take off until April.

"Rey?"

"Yeah," she called, mid-move. "Over here."

Hers was light gray. Much less stealth but still on brand.

"Do the woodchucks also have new robes?" Anakin asked.

[thatwaslucky]

She nodded her head towards the fuzzy little moving mound on the floor, which looked like a couple of woodchucks might be underneath it. "I think they're sharing."

"That's unusually sweet of them," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"It probably won't stay that way," she said, jaded, as she finished her drills and disengaged her lightsaber.

[sith_happened]

"Oh, definitely not, but maybe the robes will stop them from asking for more Jedi training."

[thatwaslucky]

"Let's hope," she said, looking over at him.

And peering at the "robe."

[sith_happened]

"I might never take it off," Anakin admitted when he caught her noticing it.

[thatwaslucky]

"It's very subtle," she said, kind of impressed.

[sith_happened]

"It is," Anakin agreed, doing a completely unnecessary spin to show it off.

[thatwaslucky]

"Yeah, you can keep that on till summer," Rey decided.

[sith_happened]

"I plan to," Anakin said, "if it's not gone tomorrow."

[thatwaslucky]

"It better not be," Rey said. "If it is, I'm buying one myself immediately."

And she didn't spend money like that so you know she's serious.

"Me too," Anakin said. "Maybe backups, too."

[thatwaslucky]

"I know what I'm getting you for Christmas now," she teased.

[sith_happened]

"You don't have to get me anything for Christmas," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

She shrugged. "But if something comes up."

[sith_happened]

"And it's small," Anakin added.

[thatwaslucky]

"And I'd be getting something for Juliet and Christopher anyway," she pointed out.

Kids got presents. End of story there.

"That, I encourage," Anakin said with a grin.

[thatwaslucky]

"I have to with them," she reasoned. Plus they might keep thinking she was cool, win/win.

[sith_happened]

"Well, they're younglings," Anakin said. "Christmas is for them."

[thatwaslucky]

"I think it's probably for everyone but they enjoy it more."

She loved Christmas even if she wasn't usually here for the actual day.

Anakin nodded. "It's one of my few regrets about the children getting older. They're losing the wide-eyed wonder."

[thatwaslucky]

"That even makes me sad," Rey admitted.

[sith_happened]

"They're becoming who they'll be, but I miss them being little, too," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"At least you still have the stories to embarrass them with," she said with a little smile.

[sith_happened]

"Oh, always," Anakin said. "And I don't have to threaten Santa any longer."

[thatwaslucky]

"Santa never made sense anyway."

Deny it. Go ahead.

[sith_happened]

"Why are we encouraging someone to break into our homes?" Anakin demanded.

[thatwaslucky]

"Someone who's been watching everything we do, no leas," she said.

[sith_happened]

"Exactly!" Anakin agreed. "That's just stalking."

And Anakin knew from stalking.

[thatwaslucky]

"It's definitely nothing to be told to children, especially when there are commercials on tv since October."

And she barely watched TV and she knew that!

[sith_happened]

"I'm so tired of the commercials," Anakin said. "So tired."

[thatwaslucky]

"They're almost over," Rey promised. "Less than two weeks and you're free."

[sith_happened]

"And there will be rejoicing," Anakin said dryly.

[thatwaslucky]

"And I'm sure the stores already have Valentine's Day candy." Was that helpful?

Anakin made a face. "That's not better. Why are they in such a hurry to make us buy more things?"

"I think you just answered your own question," she said.

[sith_happened]

"Greedier than Hutts," Anakin muttered.
