Caritas; Wednesday [01/01].
For as much crap and vitriol that Summer gave to Tino, she did have to hand it to him: when it came to his job, he was actually pretty good at it, most of the time. She was half-worried about what kind of still lingering mess from last night's New Years Eve party might be in the bar, but the place was actually pretty clean and orderly when she got there. The only suggestion that there had even been a party last night was the ubiquitous glitter that would take at least a few days to fade away and disappear, but that was clearly nothing against Tino's efforts of cleaning but just the general nature of glitter.
She was so impressed that she was all ready to actually be pretty nice to him.
But then he started talking to her about his New Years Resolutions, which did (of course) involve CrossFit, and any good will she had resolved to have toward him this year quickly dissipated.

The Stage - 01/01.
The Bar - 01/01.
Re: The Bar - 01/01.
Even if it felt like he'd only just left.
"Hi," he said, leaning across the bar for a kiss hello.
"Is that one really fish?" he asked once he'd leaned back and looked carefully at the board.
Re: The Bar - 01/01.
Re: The Bar - 01/01.
He grinned then. "Although I think we started this year very well once already."

"Starting it just the once this year was good though. With you." He'd never had a girlfriend to kiss at midnight before, Summer!
He lifted the shot which contained an unknown amount (hopefully zero!) amount of fish and held it up to her in a sort of toast before biting into it.
Re: The Bar - 01/01.
She knew there'd be no objection to that statement would be coming from Stark, so, with that, she just smirked faintly and waited to see how this fish-or-no-fish adventure was going for him.
Re: The Bar - 01/01.
He finished off the jello shot and grinned at her. "Chocolate is much better than actual fish."
He picked up the lemon next. "Fish in jello is not a good idea, in case you weren't sure."

Re: The Bar - 01/01.
He'd brought this on himself. Tragic, really.
"Please?"

"Candy fish are real fish," Stark pointed out. "They just aren't made of fish they're made of candy. And...and..."
He was trying to come up with something convincing.
"There must be some way I could change your mind."
Re: The Bar - 01/01.
She gave him a grin that was almost a little bit apologetic in all its wryness.
"Quit while you're ahead."
It was an important lesson for Stark in almost all facets of his life, really.
Re: The Bar - 01/01.
"You're right," he said. "No more talk of f-, of that."
He could be taught!
"Best to talk of other ideas."
Re: The Bar - 01/01.
For now.
"Oh yeah?" she asked. "Like what?"

He smiled softly now, then picked up the cranberry jello. "But...longer is better. It felt rushed, sometimes. Fun, but rushed, trying to do as much as we could in such a short time."
