While the weather continued to be not, it must be said, perhaps the most conducive to eating ice cream, a sweet treat was always welcome, in Lydia's opinion!

She did hope the other members of Supper Club had remembered to eat an actual meal first this week, although if they wanted to have ice cream for supper that was no skin off her nose. For her own part, she had discovered the tiny sample spoons shortly after her arrival and was now intent upon trying everything. For science, or something.

Rey had been here, but not as much as she should be. So yes, of course she was trying tiny spoons of all the flavors she didn't remember trying before. How else was she going to know what to get?

Ignis might have felt like being an insufferable pedant with regards to the idea that ice cream did not a supper make, but, as it just so happened, he was in an excellent mood that day, for some reason, and so you would all, thankfully, be spared that particular complaint.

"Mr. Scientia!" Lydia greeted him. "Welcome to Supper Club, sir. Or, well, dessert club, I suppose..."

Ah, Lydia. The fact that you would address it right out the gate so that Ignis might not have to endeared you just that little bit more to him, with a small, approving sort of smile.

"Yes, well," he said, "I suppose a deviation into dessert every so often is a fair treat, presuming it doesn't swiftly devolve into a regular habit. It certainly doesn't hurt to indulge every once in a while."

Awww. He was learning.

"But thank you," he gave a nod of acknowledgement. Glad we were able to make it this week."

It had been a very near thing.

"Are you already a fan of ice cream, Miss Bennet?"

"Have you decided on flavors yet, my darling?" Liliana asked, twining around him like a honeysuckle vine.

It was, truly, a mystery for the ages.

"Mmm, not quite yet, my love," Ignis replied, more than content in his newfound position of trellis. "Were it still this morning, the choice would have been clear, in a nice, bright serbert or sorbet, in perhaps a lemon or raspberry. But now that we're back, I feel something richer is in order. A sundae, perhaps, to best fake advantage of a little hot fudge..."

And then, as if a switch had been flipped on his palate, he lifted a hand and snapped his fingers, the gesture unfettered by the arms around him.

"That's it!" he declared. "Of course! Coffee, obviously, with drizzles of both fudge and caramel, and a light dusting of nuts, that sounds like just the thing."

Grinning with this satisfaction of such a well-balanced recipeh, he turned his head to conclude it with a kiss.

"And you, my dear?"

Please let the record show that Ignis had fully intended not to mention it at all, but if people were going to just go ahead and ask, could it really be helped?

"Miss Skywalker," he greeted her with a nod before answering. "What I think is that ice cream does not a supper make. Or, at the very least, it makes for a very poor one, indeed. But we have been supping rather dedicatedly, so I am sure a small detour of the path of proper definitions and dietary choices is a somewhat....welcome departure. I might have to insist upon a name change should the trend continue, though."

He did also, however, deliver this assessment with a small smile.

"And you? Have you any thoughts on the matter?"

Liliana would never argue with ice cream, regardless of weather or meal status. In fact, a bit of ice cream (or more than a bit if we're being honest), helped soothe the sting of the return to Maryland winter temperatures after dallying in Argentina's summer ones.

She thought Liliana was really cool and genuinely wanted to know this.

"Ice cream I didn't have to churn myself? Miss Bennet, you're spoiling me," Adrian teased. He was surprised at the large selection of flavors and was probably going to spoil his appetite for ice cream and dinner both with trying samples.

"Have you actually churned your own ice cream?" Rey asked. It would not be surprising aside from not knowing anyone who did that.

"You churn your own ice cream, Mr. Blackwood?" Lydia asked. "I must admit to curiosity about how such a thing is done." Step one: you needed some ice. Ice was always going to be a limiting factor for a Regency girl. Maybe she should make Georgiana get to work on that.

There's a place here that brulees their ice cream sandwiches but can only do it in winter or else the ice cream melts. They look delicious.
