Was meeting up with a group for an evening coffee the best idea in the world this week? Absolutely not, but since when had it been said that Lydia Bennet had only good ideas? She had announced this on the radio, after all, and she couldn't go back on that! She was sure it would be fine! A lovely evening would be had by all.

No, not like that. A very lovely evening drinking coffee, or tea for those of them with the sense to recognize that coffee tasted awful.

She was already uncertain what to do about the fact that the barista had given her her phone number, but welcome to Supper Club, everyone!

Flint would never stop looking good, even when he shaved all his hair off, Rey. Sorry.

"This week has been...different."

"It's my least favorite week of the year," she stated simply.

"How so?" Flint asked.

"I can feel what everyone else is feeling."

Not dirty. But also dirty. Like, so dirty.

Flint stared at her, blinking, for a long moment. "How?"

"Powers." Normally she'd explain it, but she did not have that sort of energy today. "I'm blocking everyone out. All day. All week."

"Is it working?" Flint asked.

"Mostly. But then it's frustrating in a different way," she admitted. "It's work."

"So the coffee will be fortifying," Flint said with a smile.

"Or it'll make it worse," she said. "There's such a thing as too much energy."

A. Hem.

"I have a crew full of lazy pirates," Flint said. "I have never seen too much energy."

If Rey went a little pink at that, it's because she could dispute how lazy one of them wasn't.

"You say that now," she said.
