Caritas; Wednesday [03/12].
Summer had considered popping into the bar early that morning to take a peek at any new namedcocktails added to the secret menu to maybe base a few jello shots on, but that was way more extra work to bother with, especially when she could just actually be extra lazy and just lean into St. Patrick's Stuff.
Well, when it came to her jello, even her lazy was still pretty great, but still!
But once she was there, she was goingbto check the new one doubt and hope they weren't too obnoxious to make, but, hey! On the plus side, if they were annoying, she knew exactly who to blame for it!

But, more importantly:
"Why do you need it to go?"
no subject
You know, in its full twenty-four hours of existence and all.
no subject
"What? And is he all of a sudden too good to come in and get one himself?"
Like, rude, Ignis. The absolute nerve of some people.
Although, on the other hand....you had Liliana just fetching drinks for you, Scientia? Respect.

As proven by her settling at the bar and looking over the jello shots as she replied, "I've had him playing hooky for nearly all of February," she said with immense satisfaction. "I figured I'd give him a few more days of industry before I once more begin playing merry havoc on his work schedule."
One week of work per one month of play sounded about right to Liliana.
"Though if you wish to call and attempt chivvy him here, I'm all for it. Oooh, how can I say no to a Pot O' Gold?"
no subject
"It's got a little rainbow!" she announced cheerfully, grabbing one and setting it in front of Liliana proudly.
"But you know what?" she added, slipping her phone out of her pocket. "Just for that, I'm saying no on the to-go and getting his ass in here."
And, with that, she began a text, because she knew how much text-to-voice annoyed him and this way Liliana also wouldn't know what she was saying, either (unless he told her later, which he probably would, the traitor).
She typed for a bit and then smugly sent the message and turned brightly back to Liliana.
"So two Lilianas as well?"
She was honestly stoked to get to make one of the new drinks and not just on her own time.
no subject
"Oh, that's not just the pot's handle?" Liliana asked, because the link between pots of gold and rainbows was impossible to fathom without explanation. "Interesting. And, yes, absolutely. And should Ignis choose work instead of responding to your invitation, then I'm afraid he'll just have to miss out."
no subject
"But, no," she added, "although that is a really cute interpretation of it. The rainbow ties into the myth about their being a pot of gold at a rainbow's end. It's a whole thing for St. Patrick's Day coming up."
no subject
Irrimberry wine would probably suit as well. Something to experiment with at home, perhaps.
"I've heard of St. Patrick's Day, though I don't really know much about the trappings, save the color green seems to play a major role." And no angels, always a bonus.

A bottle of mulberry wine was suddenly being thrust toward her, and she immediately gave Tino a withering look for his trouble. Great. Now she'd have to thank him.
Wait. No she didn't.
"Thanks," she said anyway, practically out of relief and then grunted in irritation. "Damn it!"
Whatever, she brushed it off and held up the bottle.
"Thinking of all remix?"

But whatever those mystery texts may have conveyed,Ignis did arrive, finding Liliana at the bar with a much ease as his arm found itself sliding around her waist.
"And so it would seem," he announced, interrupting himself for a kiss before it became far too overdue, "I have been summoned, with the promise of something I simply cannot miss and tge assurance that gelatin is not even remotely involved."
no subject
Liliana laughed, her hands skimming over his face in silent approval, and kissed him again. "It's true," she informed him with a sunny smile. "I'm certain Summer has in the past and will in the future demand your presence for mere trifles, but in this instance, not only is she entirely correct, she might even be underselling it a little."
A noise, as a glass was pushed along the counter to rest in front of him. "Your opinion is being sought."
no subject
"As convinces as I am that 'unterstatement' hardly exists in her vocabulary," he said, "I quite believe you're right I n that regard, my darling."
He lifted the glass, with a slightly curious tilt in his head as he considered its size, its weight, whether it clinked when he swirled it and aromas wafting up with that swirl as well.
"The result if Kitty's named drink even last night, I presume?" he asked. "With you as its namesake, 'Iana, it had best be beyond exceptional."
no subject
That trailing hand slid down the column of his throat. "Drink," she murmured. "And regret that I require your unvarnished opinion, so your first taste cannot, sadly be from my lips."
no subject
Almost.
"I will, of course," he informed her, "need to demand exactly that once that initial taste has been accomplished. For comparisons sake, of course."
But he did then take that sip, after one more deep breath to start picking out the scent of the mix before letting his taste buds confirm. And he held it there and considered a moment further before chasing it with a second drink.
"And the color?" he inquired.
no subject
"A deep royal purple," she confirmed. "Thanks to a small bit of butterfly pea powder, since the proper color is a kind of...murky purple-gray. And shimmery. Of course."
Bitches loved shimmer.
no subject
"Perfect," he said, his smile warm and fond, and he took another sip before setting the glass down so both his arms could wrap around Liliana to bring her closer still for another kiss, so that she could have her first taste of it from his lips.
"Though still quite the pale comparison to the original," he added.
Not that she needed him to tell her that.
But he rather suspected she wouldn't exactly mind hearing it, either.
no subject
She allowed herself a smile as the kiss ended; she hadn't been concerned he wouldn't like her drink, of course, but it was nice to know he had enjoyed it. "It's dreadfully expensive to make, and free for me to order."
That's right baby, she said your favorite word.
