Ching Tai, Thursday Evening
Lydia hoped everyone was in the mood for Chinese food this week, because she was, and had therefore exercised her executive privilege to decide they would be revisiting Ching Tai. She needed crab rangoons, all right? She needed them. And this way she didn't have to fret about anyone having difficulty finding the place. Win-win.
Welcome to Supper Club, everyone! Ching Tai is open!

"Good evening," he said, stepping into the restaurant with a bow of his head.

Flint sounded that out like he still wasn't certain he was pronouncing it correctly.

Still hadn't!
"Good evening, sir," Lydia said with a little curtsey. "I trust you've been well this past week?" And by 'well' she did mean 'immured in his books.'
Re: Arrive and Mingle
"I have been, Miss Bennet," Flint said, nodding. "And yourself?"

The fact that he was considering both as a solution was, clearly, the fault of his dear paramour's terrible influence.
Re: Arrive and Mingle
"What furrows your brow so, my darling?" Liliana asked, having fully decided upon her meal within seconds of perusing the menu. But she was using all that time she'd saved not agonizing over the meal to twine around Ignis, so surely he could not find fault with her haste.
And poking him about his preoccupation neatly divorced her thoughts from her own.
Re: Arrive and Mingle
"Simply indecisiveness," he replied, but there was absolutely no indecisiveness in the way his arm wrapped around Liliana in response or in his seeking out a kiss. "I'm afraid I've been struck with that all too common ailment of having one's previously firm plan of action utterly derailed upon arrival, in the face of other tantalizing options. I don't suppose you've settled one way or another, have you?"

"Professor Scientia," Lydia said. "Good evening, sir! I fear we shall be rather less in need of your expertise than some weeks, though your company, of course, is always most welcome!"
Re: Arrive and Mingle
"Miss Bennet," he greeted back, with his usual nod and a small smile. "I should certainly hope so. But, just in case, I shall strive to ensure that the quality of my company can reach the level of my expertise. Although that's a rather encouraging problem to have; I'd much rather have the experience that this Supper Club has wrought do the majority of the educating, really."

herthe villagers who rented farmland from her had been injured in werewolf attacks. Which was quite odd, as it wasn't the time of year for than and rarely did such things happen in Stensia. Peasants had to be wary of vampires in Stensia, not werewolves.Still, she was back on the island and there was certainly nothing she had to do about it, so it was simply a mystery, better mulled over at a different time.
Re: Arrive and Mingle
"Ms. Vess," Lydia said with a curtsey. "I'm so pleased you could join us. I trust you've been well?"
Re: Arrive and Mingle
Kind of a vague question, considering Liliana didn't notice - or particularly care - what students generally got themselves up to.

Granted, he probably didn't need to go to those lengths to find out, but just let him have this, it felt like more of an adventure that way.
And so now there was a feathered cap peeking into the restaurant to take a look and see if his lead had indeed been correct or if he'd just been sent off on a wild squirrel chase.

He then seemed to falter, in part because of his babbling and then with a sudden wave of awkwardness and doubt, he chuckled a little and rubbed the back of his neck. "I mean, if that's okay? I wouldn't want to presume..."

...Did Liliana actually remember why she was carrying a grudge against Graham? No. Was she going to let that stop her? Also no.
She deliberately turned away from him and continued chatting with Ignis.
