Waffle House, Saturday Morning

Raiden had spent most of yesterday defending the Pizza Planet and feeding hungry people (And some hungry lizards. He didn't want anything to go hungry.), and today he'd decided to go out and survey the damage, plus make sure none of their new lizardy friends were lingering.

He was distracted from his quest by a beautiful yellow glow.

"It did come back," he said, and pushed the door open, inhaling deeply of that beautiful Waffle House smell. He was going to eat so many hash browns.

(It's been too long. Open Waffle House is open!)

"Happy Waffle House Day," Stark echoed. "Did it come because of the lizards? I stayed inside yesterday."

Wait, there wasn't some weird Godzilla gravy on the menu was there? Eh, he'd eaten worse and stranger.

"Are we going to talk about hash browns for your class?" Breakfast sides were an important topic!

"I dunno," Raiden said with a shrug. "The ways of the Waffle House are mysterious." And also scattered, smothered, and covered.

"And yeah, definitely we will! Hash browns are critical, y'know?"

Stark could eat his feelings in hash browns multiple times, yay. He had a lot of feelings.

"I'll have to practice today then. With hash browns. And some waffles."

"That's the spirit!" Raiden agreed happily. "Always time for more hash browns." And waffles. Just ask Gray.

"And breakfast meat," Stark said, nodding. "Also important."

Raiden and Gray were both into lots of meat, right?

"I'm looking forward to the rest of the class."

Gray's singlemindedness with regards to the waffle as breakfast was truly remarkable, actually. Sometimes the other meals, too.

"It should be fun! And delicious, of course. Otherwise what's the point? I mean, nutrition, but nutrition without joy is just sad."

Waffles were great, admittedly, but Stark did love some variety.

"Food that tastes good is...wonderful," he said. "It makes me happy, having things that are enjoyable and aren't just enough to keep me alive. And your cooking is always enjoyable."
