Fandom Island Museum, Thursday Daytime

Steven hadn't noticed anything out of the ordinary on his way into work that morning. Perhaps because he'd been so focused on getting there.

It wasn't until he arrived that he tripped over a suitcase in the front doorway. He bit back a curse as he glared at it.

There on the suitcase was the word: Lesser.

That didn't help Steven's desire to glare, actually. He grabbed the suitcase and hauled it behind the Welcome Desk. On his way there he spotted others: Unwanted and Uninteresting.

A memory of a few years back came to Steven. He clamped down on any feelings of Marc he could possibly put a hold on so that whatever this was didn't manifest something for him too.

"You're not getting him," Steven said aloud to... whatever this was. "You can't have him."

Behind the Welcome Desk was another suitcase.

Unreal.

Steven shoved that one under the desk as hard as he could. He then stood there, his eyes closed, and tried his best to breathe slowly and calmly.

"It's fine," he said. "Absolutely fine. I can handle this."

Behind him, near the staircase to the second floor, was a battered and worn trunk. The word on that was ANGER.

Steven didn't see the trunk. Which was fine. It wasn't his anyway.

"Would you like it, if- if I did that more often?" Watts asked. "Came by to walk you home, I mean."

Would it mean essentially that he was walking from Midnight to the Museum and then back again unless he happened to already be out on other errands? Well, yes.

Steven considered it. "I wouldn't dislike it? I don't know that it has to be every week, but it'd be a nice change of pace now and again."

Watts nodded. "I just thought- now that the weather is nicer, a little walk together might be- nice. Now and again. Not every week."

"We could even walk where there's a view of the water," Steven suggested. "I think that'd be lovely."

"A stroll by the seaside," Watts smiled. "Very romantic."

[hasaknightjob]

Steven smiled back. "I thought so. Would you like me to come walk you home from time to time?"

"I would be delighted," Watts admitted.

[hasaknightjob]

"Be a nice change of pace us doing it for nice reasons," Steven realized. "Instead of large lizards or rude luggage about."

"That was essentially what prompted me to ask you," Watts admitted.

"I'm glad you did," Steven told him. "It'll be nice. You and me, the warm air. Maybe even get dinner before we go home."

"We could take it to go and have a picnic on the beach," Watts suggested. "Watch the sunset together."

Steven's face lit up at the idea. "Oh I love that! Yes, that's a wonderful idea. Let's do it."

A mess of scraps in the vague shape of a sack which said Chaos appeared.

"Er, perhaps let's not do that tonight," Steven said. "A nicer night, maybe."

Watts frowned at the bag. "I don't find you chaotic at all," he told Steven. "For the record."

"Our mind is," Steven said. He took another sip of his tea to try to help with how unsettled the bag made him feel. "People who look in there tend not to like it. But I'm glad you find me steady. Or steady as I can be, I suppose."

"Whose mind isn't?" Watts frowned. "Thoughts flitting about like swallows in flight..." he trailed off. "You are very much a calming, reassuring presence in my life, Steven Grant. Marc too, in a different manner."

Steven looked at Llewellyn fondly. "My poet. The way you phrase things."

"The way I- oh. The swallows," Watts nodded. "This way and that, you see," he said, waving both hands in opposite directions in a sort of fluttering motion.

"I love you."

Steven was looking at Llewellyn with heart eyes now.

"I love you too," Watts replied, looking bemused. "With all my heart."

Llewellyn was going to get kissed again. There was no way around it.

Well, if he didn't want to be kissed of course. But otherwise Steven was going to kiss him, yes.

If it was Steven doing the kissing, there were very few situations in which Watts would not wish to be kissed.

This was definitely not one of those, and thus he happily kissed back.

Steven leaned his forehead against Llewellyn's when they were done. "Thank you for being here. You make things better."

"Your troubles are my own, Steven Grant," Watts reminded him.

[hasaknightjob]

"And you?" Steven asked. He looked at him with concern. "Your troubles?"

"What about them?"
