Fandom Island Museum, Thursday Daytime

June was Pride month. Steven was once again putting up displays that reflected parts of Fandom's wildlife and history that talked about things related to that theme. He'd also put together a version of the Museum's logo with a rainbow on it, should anyone want souvenir mugs or magnets with that on it.

And of course there was Steven himself behind the Welcome Desk, happy to answer questions in relation to the month or any other work related topics.

Or not work related. He just liked talking to people, really. It was among the many reasons he enjoyed his job.

It was Pride month, and so Watts was once again sporting the small flag pin on his lapel.

"Hello, you," he greeted as he made his way up to the Welcome Desk.

Steven smiled when he saw Llewellyn, then facepalmed when he saw the pin. "Oh bugger, I should've worn mine. All right, next time. Hello, you."

"I'll remind you before you leave for the day, if you need me to," Watts offered.

"Please, thank you," Steven said. He smiled at Llewellyn. "You look handsome in yours."

"You think so?" Watts glanced down at it. He still felt a little self-conscious, but, well. He was doing his best to work past that.

"You're being brave," Steven explained. "That's rather sexy, actually."

"Sexy?" Watts echoed.

[hasaknightjob]

"I think so," Steven told him.

After a few years in Fandom, Watts at least had something of a grasp of what sexy meant, even if it's not a word he would have applied to himself. Hence the colour now rising to his cheeks.

Steven smiled as he saw the reaction. "Now as well. Additionally."

"You are a shameless flirt, Steven Grant," Watts declared, although it didn't sound as all if he minded.

"Could even say I'm proud of it," Steven replied with a grin.

"A shameless flirt and a scoundrel to boot," Watt said, taking his hat off with a flourish and depositing it on the desk. "Also, my lunch date." He held out his arm.

"Happily," Steven said. He put out the sign saying he was taking lunch, then accepted the offered arm. "How are you then, love?"

"The usual," Watts said. "This being the brightest part of my day, I mean."

Steven playfully bumped his shoulder into Llewellyn's. "Funny thing, that. Mine too."

"Not that funny," Watts commented. "Seeing as how highly we rank on each others lists of favourite people."

"Number one in my case," Steven said. In case Llewellyn had reason to wonder.

"I didn't want to assume," Watts said loftily. "Perhaps Raphael had nudged me out of that top spot."

"Only when he's angling for your seat on the couch," Steven said with a grin.

[pocketpretzels]

"He too is a scoundrel," Watts declared. "Learned that from his dad, I think."

[hasaknightjob]

"Only if by that you mean our cat son is purrfect," Steven said, emphasizing the purr so Llewellyn could pick up on it.

"Steven Grant!" Watts exclaimed, in fond exasperation.

[hasaknightjob]

Steven giggled, proud of himself.

"Absolutely incorrigible," Watts grumbled as they reached their usual spot and he pulled out Steven's chair for him.
