Fandom Island Museum, Thursday Daytime

Steven once again had his rainbow flag pin on. The Museum's Pride exhibits had been taken care of, so he was now at the Welcome Desk working on a new idea he'd had: Coloring pages of things found in the Museum for little ones to use when they visited.

Of course he couldn't draw so currently he was researching how one got coloring pages when one was not an artist. Which in and of itself was an interesting deep dive.

In the meanwhile he was available for anyone who had any questions or wanted a tour or a chat.

"It's in your eyes, actually," Steven said, giving Llewellyn a fond smile.

"Flirt," Watts said, the eyes in question full-on heart eyes.

"It's true though," Steven said. "I see the way you see me. Makes me hopeful for what's to come."

"The life we will build together," Watts said.

"Imagine where things could lead," Steven said. "I could be making movies some day."

Or a version of him somewhere did that. One of those.

"Romance-themed pictures?" Watts asked, since that was the theme of the majority of his writing. "Or would you branch out?"

"Romance I suppose," Steven said, now that he was thinking about it. "Or maybe children's films? Or both! Er - separately, not the same picture."

"Be a bit odd if they were the same picture," Watts said. "Though I suppose a children's picture could have romantic elements- plenty of fairy tales involve princes and princesses finding their true love, after all."

"Not enough prince and princes," Steven said. "Maybe I could fix that."

Watts looked startled for just a moment, as if such an idea had never occurred to him. He then smiled. "That's- I think that would be sweet," he offered shyly. "If there were more stories like that."

"I could read them to our children, maybe?" Steven said. "Maybe they'd like them the way you do."

"I think that sounds lovely," Watts admitted. "I'm certain they would. They clearly adored you, after all."

"Some motivation to humor me as well," Steven said.

"To humour you?" Watts echoed. "I don't think that would be necessary, not when your stories are already so enjoyable to listen to."

Steven smiled at him. "I'm glad you like them. Perhaps some day I'll get brave enough to show them to others."

Granted he'd taken that one class but all things considered he wasn't sure that counted.

"Regardless of whether you do or do not, I shall remain your number-one fan," Watts informed him.

"There's two ways of looking at that you know," Steven said, smiling at him. "You're number one being a fan of me, and you're the fan I consider number one in return."

"I like both of those interpretations," Watts said, leaning over to press a quick peck to Steven's cheek.

"Good, they're both true," Steven said. "At least I can vouch for my half of it. I like making stories for you."

"I enjoy listening to them. They're- soothing, as well as entertaining," Watts told him.

[hasaknightjob]

"Soothing?" Steven asked, looking at him with interest. "How so?"

"There isn't- in your stories, there's no fear of- being found out. Being accused of- indecency," Watts tried to explain.

[hasaknightjob]

"I see," Steven said. "There's no tension. You know it'll have a happy ending. The only worry is when."

[pocketpretzels]

Watts nodded. "And despite knowing the ending will be happy, it's- I like finding out how they get there, as well," he added.

[hasaknightjob]

"That's fun for me as well," Steven said. "Two people finding each other and knowing they're meant to be together no matter what their circumstances. Each one making the other's life better."
