Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

Rey had been gone last weekend, and she'd returned with a shiny new holocron. Well, it was not shiny or new but like most of her things, it was simply new to her. She'd gotten through some of it earlier in the week, but it was slow going when she'd been making notes as she went.

She'd brought it to the warehouse today, both so Anakin could see it, and because she actually did need to get through it all.

"Rey?" Anakin called, hopping over the lava.

"Over here," Rey called from where she was sitting on the floor with the holocron and a good old fashioned notebook and pen.

She could sit on a crate but this felt better.

[sith_happened]

"A new Holocron?" Anakin asked. "Am I in it?"

[thatwaslucky]

"No. It's old," she said, kind of loving it. "I can't tell how old, but it looks much before your time."

"Oooh," Anakin said. "Maybe we'll see if Yoda was ever young, or if he was always that way."

[thatwaslucky]

"I haven't found him yet," she said, waving him over. "I've mostly seen lectures."

[sith_happened]

"What are they lecturing about?" Anakin asked.

[thatwaslucky]

"Different things. I've gotten a lot of philosophy, which has been fascinating. You'll probably love it and secretly disagree with a good deal of it," she said with a small smile.

Anakin laughed. "That sounds right," he said.

[thatwaslucky]

Rey shrugged. "I figure it's good to hear. And then even when I disagree with something, it's an insight to what they thought back then."

[sith_happened]

"And sometimes a chance to reflect on if you're as right as you think you are," Anakin said. "I didn't take that chance very often."

Because he was always right.

[thatwaslucky]

"It's much easier when you never know if you're right." Like her!

[sith_happened]

Anakin grinned. "I suffered from the other thing."

[thatwaslucky]

"If we could meet somewhere in the middle..." she said.

[sith_happened]

"That would be very reasonable," Anakin said.

And therefore, Anakin's last option always.

"Doing all of this has actually been pretty helpful there," she told him. "It's hard to always be right when you don't know everything, and there is no possible way anyone can know everything when it comes to the Force, so everyone is always learning."

She paused. "Or they should be."

Anakin smiled. "I've learned my lesson about thinking I know everything a long time ago."

"I think it might be kind of boring when someone does," Rey admitted.

[sith_happened]

Anakin smiled. "No one has ever thought of me as boring."

[thatwaslucky]

"Sorry," she said sheepishly. "Do you know what I mean, though?"

[sith_happened]

"I do," Anakin said, nodding. "I also spent a lot of time with politicians. They excelled at thinking they couldn't learning anything new."

[thatwaslucky]

"Exactly that," Rey said. "Not that I know many politicians. But if you're not open to new things, then nothing can really change."

[sith_happened]

Anakin nodded. "And just trying the same thing over and over again is stupid."

[thatwaslucky]

"Don't they say that's the definition of insanity?" she asked.

[sith_happened]

"They do," Anakin confirmed, grinning.
