Grossly, Tino had apparently cleaned up last week, and then spent the weekend dealing with a kid from each of those people. So that was a fun thing to find out about!

No, actually, it wasn't, and Kitty wanted to go back to being the person she was before that.

"I'm always having feelings," Stark said. "Does that still count? Hello, Kitty."

[throughaphase]

"Hey. The question is what kind of feelings are you having right now?" Kitty asked.

[stykera]

"Lonely?" Stark said with a shrug. "That's nothing new. A little...contemplative. Did you have visitors?"

[throughaphase]

"No. I think I've been here so long that all the alternate universes have cycled through already," she said. "I'll accept lonely. What'll you have?"

[stykera]

"This was a new one," Stark said. "Though many years there weren't any."

The multiverse was fickle and also liked to torment him a bit.

"Something sweet. A daquiri? Strawberry, I think. Please."

[throughaphase]

Kitty nodded, starting on the drink. "Do you want to talk about it or do you want to avoid talking about it?"

[stykera]

"I don't need to avoid it."

And Stark spent too much time not talking to other people as it was.

"A new child, again. Last year there weren't any." Which had been for the best. He would have cried for a month straight after they'd left.

"But another one that might very well be impossible. Very unlikely, anyway. But they've all been very unlikely."

[throughaphase]

"They usually are," she said. "It's just a look into something else for a minute, really."

Ignore that one of her AU kids ended up happening, but there had been plenty that hadn't so there.

[stykera]

"His other parent, his mother...I can't see her having children. Maybe ever. But he was definitely hers. And mine."

And clearly most child-rearing duties had gone to Stark.

"Still not quite as impossible as some others." His kid with Bridge was always going to be a mystery. And the one with Liam.

"I...I do like them having them here. The children. Even if they're impossible."

[throughaphase]

"Right?" Kitty said, sliding her drink over. "It's not exactly babysitting, but it's... you know?"

[stykera]

"It's...I've heard them called Unrealized Realities, though they're all realized somewhere. But these are always..."

Stark let his voice trail off and took a long sip of his drink. "It's nice to know there are versions of me that have families."

It was also sad. But he was trying not to get too much into that particular feeling.

"A lot of things can happen," she said vaguely. "What was the best part of the weekend?"
