It looked like it was one of those weekends again, and Raiden didn't know what other people wanted to do with their temporarily-not-dead loved ones, but maybe it involved taking them out to brunch! Kallias definitely needed to be fed. Raiden was making all of his favorites. No one could stop him.

"Here you go," Raiden said as he set a fresh chimney cake down in front of Kallias. "You know, they put ice cream in them now."

"I want that," Gray said, lifting his head from where it had been cradled in his arms, since he'd been sound asleep thirty seconds ago.

Raiden ruffled his hair. "Of course you do."

Over Easy is open!

((Chimney cake is, canonically, Kallias's favorite food. Kallias died at least 1500 years before chimney cake was invented, but the author of this series was not overly concerned with details. *sobs in nitpicky*))

Not long after Gray had sent his first text, Arden made her way into the diner. She didn't let herself get distracted by the specials - okay, she let herself get distracted by the specials for very long - as she bee-lined straight for the table where her...three?...brothers were already sitting.

"Hi," she said, giving them all - though still somehow primarily Kallias - a wave. "Did I hear something about ice cream?"

Okay, fine, there was no joke here. Dante was just hungry, and he'd negotiated himself down from 'just ice cream' to 'actual food and then ice cream'. "How long has this place been here?" he wondered aloud.

What? There was cake on the menu. You'd think he'd have registered it before.
