Caritas: Open [2/7]
Lorne seems to be in a slightly less chipper mood than he has been lately. He makes sure that the bar is fully stocked and that the zombie band has all their appendages, but his mood is somewhat somber.
Which may be why his choice of an opening number seems... different.

Re: Stage: [2/7]
"This is for my Versace..." he says as the music begins to swell.
I'll be seeing you
In all the old familiar places...
*Scattered Applause*
"Thank you! You're too kind"
That this heart of mine embraces
All day through.
In that small cafe;
The park across the way;
The children's carousel;
The chestnut trees;
The wishin' well.
I'll be seeing you
In every lovely summer's day;
In every thing that's light and gay.
I'll always think of you that way.
I'll find you
In the morning sun
And when the night is new.
I'll be looking at the moon,
But I'll be seeing you.
I'll be seeing you
In every lovely summer's day;
In every thing that's light and gay.
I'll always think of you that way.
I'll find you
In the morning sun
And when the night is new.
I'll be looking at the moon,
But I'll be seeing you.
The zombie band finishes, and just as Lorne is about to take his bow what appears to be a rip in the fabric of reality breaks apart behind him and two large green skinned men dressed in armor step through.
Lorne rolls his eyes at them. "Geez, guys. I haven't done my encore yet."
"Krevlornswath of the Deathwok clan," said one of the green men, "The Groosalug has requested your assistance in a matter most dire regarding..."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah..." Lorne says, "I get it. A command performance."
Lorne turns to the crowd and gives them a small smile and a wave.
"G'Night folks. You've been great. Don't forget to tip Tino. I love you all!" Lorne says with a sad look on his face. "I hope to see you again very soon."

"B.F.P.O.*"
Army dreamers.
"Mammy's hero."
"B.F.P.O."
"Mammy's hero."
As the band hits the music, the middle trooper steps forward and joing in with a high pitched voice:
"Our little army boy
Is coming home from B.F.P.O.
I've a bunch of purple flowers
To decorate a mammy's hero.
Mourning in the aerodrome,
The weather warmer, he is colder.
Four men in uniform
To carry home my little soldier."
As things get emotional, the middle troopers wraps his arms around his buddies shoulders.
LT: "What could he do?
RT: Should have been a rock star."
MT: But he didn't have the money for a guitar.
LT: "What could he do?
RT: Should have been a politician."
MT: But he never had a proper education.
LT: "What could he do?
RT: Should have been a father."
MT: But he never even made it to his twenties.
Together: What a waste --
Army dreamers.
Ooh, what a waste of
Army dreamers.
MT: Tears o'er a tin box.
Oh, Jesus Christ, he wasn't to know,
Like a chicken with a fox,
He couldn't win the war with ego.
Give the kid the pick of pips,
And give him all your stripes and ribbons.
Now he's sitting in his hole,
He might as well have buttons and bows.
They're swaying together now, caught up in the moment.
LT: "What could he do?
RT: Should have been a rock star."
MT: But he didn't have the money for a guitar.
LT: "What could he do?

MT: But he never even made it to his twenties.
What a waste --
Army dreamers.
Ooh, what a waste of
Army dreamers.
Ooh, what a waste of all that
Army dreamers,
Army dreamers,
Army dreamers, oh...
LT: ("B.F.P.O.")
RT: Did-n-did-n-did-n-dum...
MT: Army dreamers.
RT: Did-n-did-n-did-n-dum...
LT: ("Mammy's hero.")
RT: ("B.F.P.O.")
MT: Army Dreamers.
LT: ("Mammy's hero.")
RT: ("B.F.P.O.")
MT: No harm heroes.

As the finish, they hug and pat each other on the back before jumping off the stage and moving back to the bar.
Re: Stage: [2/7]
He sought out Phoebe in the crowd and began to sing.
What I got to do to make you love me
What I got to do to make you care
What do I do when lightning strikes me
And I wake to find that you're not there
What I got to do to make you want me
What I got to do to be heard
What do I say when it's all over
Sorry seems to be the hardest word
It's sad, so sad
It's a sad, sad situation
And it's getting more and more absurd
It's sad, so sad
Why can't we talk it over
Oh it seems to me
That sorry seems to be the hardest word
What do I do to make you want me
What I got to do to be heard
What do I say when it's all over
Sorry seems to be the hardest word
It's sad, so sad
It's a sad, sad situation
And it's getting more and more absurd
It's sad, so sad
Why can't we talk it over
Oh it seems to me
That sorry seems to be the hardest word
What I got to do to make you love me
What I got to do to be heard
What do I do when lightning strikes me
What have I got to do
What have I got to do
When sorry seems to be the hardest word
