Around 8 p.m., Angela takes a seat in a corner booth and orders coffee. She seems to be watching out the window for someone.

Luke walks over. "What can I get you?" he asks.

Then he looks at her. "Oh, hey, you're young again," he says. "You waiting for egg white boy?"

"Um, coffee, please. And -- do you have cake?," Angela asks. "And no. Not Marty. Someone else."

"I've got chocolate cake and a couple kinds of pie," he says, taking out his order pad.

"Chocolate cake sounds good," Angela said. "And thanks."

AShe hopes she won't get chocolate around her mouth. Maybe they can share it...

Artie bounded in in the evening. He posed by the door (possibly somehow aware through super-senses that he would not be terribly welcome with his bizarre behavior and wacky poses).

"Greetings! I come bearing news! News of a party! Follow me!"

And he bounds out.

Luke blinks and wonders if The Tick has a brother.

Logan held open the door to Luke's for Veronica. "After you," he said.

Veronica walked in and waved to Luke before leading Logan to the booth she and Marty always sat in.

"So are you okay from class?" she asked, concerned, as they got comfortable.

Logan waved his hand. "Fine," he said. "I've dealt with people like her before. Pain in the ass, yeah, but no big deal."

She took his hand and gave it a comforting squeeze. "It still sucks that she did that. Those questions were completely inappropriate."

She noticed Angela waving (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/622479.html?thread=24212111#t24212111). She waved back and then smiled at Logan.

Angela glanced up from her cake to wave to Logan and veronica, then went back to looking out the window.

Jordan was only a little bit late. Really.

Logan gave Angela a wave as well, then turned back to Veronica. "Whatever. I'm used to that crap. How was your day?"

"Luke's is okay, right?" Marty says as he opens the door for Quinn. "I forgot to make reservations over at-"

And Marty notices Angela with Logan, holding hands. The look on his face is not a happy one.

"Well, I do kinda work here, but whatever," says Quinn, who just marked Marty down a few more points. And a few more after that for forgetting reservations. Really.

Marty walks over to a table and pulls back a chair for Quinn, all the time glaring Logan and Angela.

"I'm sorry what did you say?"

Angela feels familiar dark eyes on her back and sends a nasty glance over her shoulder at Marty, then leans in to talk to Logan again, not moving her hand. "So ... yeah, this isn't how I planned to spend tonight. But it might not be all bad. Sorry for crashing your date."

Holding hands and as predictably cute and schmoopy as always, Cally and Anders make their way down to Luke's for a relaxed kind of Official Date Night.

"So, you're gonna pay, huh?" Anders asks as he holds the door open for her with a grin. "After you, coach. Does this mean I gotta pick out a table?"

"Yes, it does," Cally says, not even looking for a table but just smiling happily at Anders. "So, pick one out and we can get around to ordering."

"You got it, coach." Anders nods, gives Cally a silly salute, and picks out a corner table as far away from everybody else as possible. "Not that I expect quiet, but this'll be the best spot for snuggles, huh?"

He gestures to the booth bench, since obviously he doesn't plan for the other side of the table to get used anyway. "You want the inside, or should I take it?"

Cally slides in on the bench. "Guess that sorta answers your question, huh?"

After finding one of her shirts, changing and letting Backup out the back, Veronica finally made her way back to the diner, feeling guilty for being gone so long.

She walked in to find Angela screaming at Marty (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/622479.html?thread=24247439#t24247439), Quinn looking confused and Logan looking pissed.

"What the hell?" she demanded. "I leave for ten minutes and all hell breaks loose?"

Quinn waves a hand vaguely. "My date thinks Angela's a ho and I think the he and Naked Boy have UST," she explains matter-of-factly.

"C'mon Quinn. We're leaving," Marty says getting up from the table and heading for the door.

"What took you so long?" Logan frowned at Veronica.
