Caritas - Saturday Evening [Open]

Weevil had returned to Fandom a few days ago. It's definitely good to be back after spending a week in Neptune. And he's glad to see the zombie band back as well. He notices Tino seemed to be missing, though. He just shakes his head in amusement.

Caritas is open.

"It is. Sometimes you just want to spend the day buried underneath a pile of kittens. Or practicing guitar."

"Ooooh, kittens," Cally said, grinning. "I like kittens."

"Me too. I have a cat, actually. But he's kind of goofy."

"I like pets," Cally said. "But most of the time, tools and pets don't mix, so I really shouldn't keep them. Cause nothing will make you sadder than accidently geting a hamster caught in the gearshaft."

Nadia stared at Cally. "Ohhh, poor hamster!"

"It got out again. But it was short a toe, so my mom gave it to the family down the street," Cally said. "And that was the end of me having pets back home."

"Maybe you could have a fish instead? Or something big enough that it couldn't get caught?"

Cally thought about Brandly for a second. "No, fish aren't as pettable," she said. "Unless you're weird."

"You could get a chincilla," Nadia said . . . possibly thinking of the Rum Chinchilla.

"A chin killer?" Cally looked at Nadia funny.

"Nonono, a chinchilla. They're little furry things from Peru with fluffy tails and human-like fingers and they're much bigger and smarter than hamsters."

"Well, I'd have to wait 'til I got a proper room," Cally said. "Since I currently don't. But I'll look into that chin-chiller thing."

"You should move to the fifth floor. We're the best floor."

"I'll write that on my transfer request," Cally said. "Hopefully they'll get the idea."

"You might want to be really specific."

"Okay," Cally said. "I'll try that."

She stared at her empty glass. "You ever kissed a girl?" she said, out of the blue.

"Yes. I kissed Ivanova at the pool party."

"Me too," Cally said. "Erm, not Ivanova at the pool party, I mean. It was somebody who was gone before you even came here, actually."

Nadia wasn't sure why they were discussing this, but just shrugged. "Cool. Did you like it?"

"Yeah," Cally said. "But things couldn't actually happen, cause of everything, and she moved away and she's never even written me." She shrugged. "Funny how I didn't even think about it 'til now."

"I haven't heard from Ivanova at all, either. That thing just happens."

"Yeah," Cally said, and held up her glass of water. "I propose a toast... some buttery toast, with, like, cinammon and sugar. Cause that'd be really good."

"Buttery toast with cinammon and sugar." Nadia raised a glass.

Cally clinked her glass against Nadia's and took a drink. "I wish I could be like this all the time. Cause there's no crying when I'm drunk, and there's been too much of that since last night." She took another gulp. "Course, It'll probably work itself out soon."

"It probably will. But drunk means you might have a hangover tomorrow. It's much better to get high, sometimes."
