Caritas [Friday]

Greg bustled in and taped the band back together. Then he pulled some gel out of his pocket and carefully styled the drummer's hair - or, well, what little was left of it.

There. Much better.

Then he tooks his place behind the bar, and started immediately staging a tiny battle between the beer bottles and the wine coolers.

[Big groups modding Tino would please me. Otherwise, I'm around!]

"Because I stuck my arm..." This also went with a demonstration, as she made a C-shape with one hand and then moved her other arm through the curve until her fingers were arched around her forearm. "...into a hole to check for secret buttons or hidden keys or maps, like this."

"Blair and I went exploring," Rosette nodded, very importantly. "He was looking for hookers, me for pirate treasure."

"...We found neither," she added, with a very strong whimper of disappointment.

"Underground hookers," she said, with a shrug. She still didn't understand, really.

Besides, what Greg was telling her about the beach was more interesting to her than what he was saying about hookers. "The beach, huh...." She stroked her chin thoughtfully.

"Isn't that just...obvious, though? Because, if I were a pirate, I would try to put it somewhere that no one would think to look."

...Like...a...church. Rosette blinked, sitting up straight. It was quite obvious that some light had turned on in the back of her head.

"Well," Rosette said, after a moment of consideration, studying Greg's face to determine whether he could be trustworthy. But he did pour a good shot of whiskey, so he was okay in her book. "If I were a pirate, and I was hiding my treasure where no one would think to look, where would I hide it?"

"No, no, no," Rosette shook her head. "See, pirates visit brothels all the time! It's one of the first places they go when they come on shore, you've got to imagine, so it makes sense that they'd hide it where they're often visiting. So that's too obvious, like the beach. YOu have to think." She tapped her forehead. "Where's a place a pirate would never go?"

She looked at him expectantly. The answer was right in front of his eyes!

"Bingo!" Rosette snapped her fingers and held up a finger. "A church. Which I just so happen to be living in." She nodded, stroking her chin again, her mind already conspiring to start tearing the church apart looking for possible pirate treasure clues. Not literally, of course. Well, maybe not. Okay, maybe a bit....
