Caritas - Tuesday Evening

Jane arrived to open Caritas only to find that the band had broken up.

Literally.

Bits of them were everywhere, they had completely fallen apart.

So she reassembles them as best she can.

Unfortunately, the guitarist's head is on the sax player's body, and the drummer's arms are on the basest.

This should be interesting.

El got up on stage with his guitar case, shooed the zombies away, and proceeded on a long, mournful guitar solo.

When El Mariachi does a guitar solo? It sounds really good.

The Doctor came in and sat at the bar.

"Gin and tonic," the Doctor said. "That sounds about right for the evening, I think."

Jane mixed up the gin and tonic for him.

"So what have you been up to? I always seem to miss you around the box."

"Oh, this and that," the Doctor said. "Technical jiggery pokery, feeding the ducks, rereading Kracauer's 'Theory of Film' and laughing at it."

"Movies? The moving picture? That's not too far out of your time, is it?" the Doctor asked.

"Oh, I suppose I could get Tino to cover for me if I were to leave early." Jane mused.

Tino is not grumbling and wondering why Time Lords don't drop by to whisk him off to the movies.

"Well, I happen to have a screen and a projector in the TARDIS. We could start you off right. A little bit of Sergio Leone might be to your taste, I think," the Doctor smiled.

Jane had no idea what that was, but moving pictures didn't sound any stranger then a zombie band.

And considering that the band's body parts were all mixed up tonight, they sounded pretty strange.

"Alrighty then. Let's stay here a bit longer in case the boss shows up and I'd be happy to see this Serjeoleonne thing."

"No, I can't says we have. Though I'm not sure what to talk about, things have been downright boring for me."

"Well then, Movie, some popcorn, what else can we do? Well, I could buy you a drink but given the circumstances it'd seem a bit silly. But I shall do it, nonetheless." He smiled. "A drink on me, my good lady. Your choice."
