Café Fina, Valentine's Day

Walter stared in perplexity at the sign that read: While Supplies Last! Free shiny exploding pants with every meal!

And he left it up.

Why not? It was Valentine's Day. Let people's pants explode. In an entirely not dirty way, thank you very much.

There are roses on every table. Silverware that may or may not back talk, and the chairs have had a good talking to about staying where they're supposed to be when people sit down.

Café Fina is ready for Valentine's Day, even if Walter is not necessarily ready for Café Fina.

Walter is here, but only for long enough to put in an appearance. It's Valentine's Day and he has a girlfriend, after all.

Nadia arrived sometime around the end of sixth period since I don't know if Yuki let her out early yet or not, having found Walter's note in the room. She had her backpack with her, and it was stuffed a little full, just now.

Walter finished discussing the woeful matter of inadequate self-polishing with one of the spoons and shrugged apologetically at Nadia. "Hey. I think I mentioned that things were a bit different here now."

Nadia pointed over her shoulder at the note. "I think you were understating that a bit. Exploding pants? Do I want to know?"

"I don't even know," Walter said, eying the sign again. "And I'm not about to try them for myself."

A plate ran by and Walter rolled his eyes when a spoon soon went chasing after. "I think this is why Lumiere is glad I have a girlfriend."

Nadia was still blinking over the running plate and spoon.

"Something like that, yes." Walter was aware that most of the other "staff" was watching them with varying degrees of subtlety.

"I think he's lost some... servingware ...employees that way."

No fire, flood, or troll attacks, thank you, but the rest of the restaurant wants you to be their guest.

"Cafe Fina," Rose said, smiling, "I always meant to go here."

"Last time I was here it was under different management." Clark said. "I'm sure the food will still be excellent."

They were led to a table and presented with menues and a wine list.

"Any preference?" Clark asked.

Rose perused the menu, "I'm not very familiar, what do you recommend for starters?"

Deadpool's table is ready for him. It's even been given a stern lecture about making comments about the man's date and who would possibly date him.

[ooc: Mod the restaurant unless you'd like to ping in the OOC thread below for a bit of back-talky furniture and place settings. I, however, am at work with a VIP sitting a few feet away from me and won't be available until evening.]

Rosette let out a long, impressed whistle as they were lead to the table. "Pretty hoity-toity," she commented with a chuckle.

"Only the best for my date." Wade replied. He rushed ahead to pull the chair out for Rosette. "After you."

Rosette chuckled at the formality and tried her best to seem lady-like as she sat down in the offered chair, and then tried to remember if a lady was supposed to cross her legs around the knee, or if that was what whores did, and ladies crossed them at their heels. She shifted to get comfortable.

"What do you think the purpose of all these forks are?" Rosette asked, picking up one of them. "Throwing them at waiters if the service sucks?" She closed an eye as she pretended to take aim for a chucking of the oyster fork. She made a small sound mimicking a sound it might make but never actually would, but didn't toss it, just set it back where she found it.

Wade slipped over into his seat looking at the massive amount of forks as well. Was that the shrimp fork or the salad fork?

"Nah, I already asked about that. No need to toss things at the waiters here. Most of the waiters are apparently actually cutlery."

Rosette's hands drew slowly away from the table as she looked down at the forks a little wide eyed. She leaned in a little toward Deadpool, lowering her voice, as if afraid they might hear. "You don't suppose," she said, "that I've just inappropriately molested one of the wait staff, do you?"
