Caritas, Wednesday Evening [OPEN]

Jarod completely forgot it was Wednesday because he was so busy packing and getting ready to move. Or, really, to just give his things to someone--he hadn't figured out what to do with M yet, but it wasn't fair to her to make her homeless.

He ran in about an hour late, only to find that Tino and the zombies did fine without him.

Huh.

Then he walked back behind the bar.

"Sure," he said, pouring one for her, then adding a slice of lime and the salt shaker.

"Thanks, Jarod," she said with a slight smile as she downed the shot without the salt, but she did use the lime.

"Yes, they do," he agreed, "I'm sorry for whomever you had to say goodbye to."

She smiled. "Ever been involved in something that you knew had no hope of lasting, but it felt so nice and damn good that you were willing to deal with the sorrow and the pain that came when it was going to end?"

Jaye comes to the bar, puts her purse down on it and says, "You ever have one of those weeks where you think you need like eight shots lined up just to go through them? And hi."

"Hi. Yes, and is that a hint?" Jarod asked.

"Please?" she says, trying to look cute when she pouts.

"Tequila, or something else?" He asked, lining up the shot glasses.

"No tequila. Tequila baaaad," she says. "Surprise me."

She pauses. "I'm going to be interesting on radio, I think."

"You usually are," he reached for the bottle of creme de menthe, then changed his mind and chose Goldschlager instead, pouring out all eight shots of cinnamon-flavored, gold-flecked alcohol.

"Ooh, pretty," she says, picking up one shot to look at it. "So how are you?"

Rikku looked around, then noticed Jarod behind the bar, and bounced up to him with a container. "Hiya! How are you?"

He grinned, "Fine, thanks, Rikku. How are you?"

"I'm awesome," she said with an extra bounce. "I think I'm on a sugar rush but it's kinda combined with a few things from the past few days and wow. I'm just bouncing off the walls here. And hey! Cookies!" Rikku held them out. "To say thanks and all that."

Rikku bit her lip and tried to think of how to sum it all up and couldn't quite wrap words around it. "We ... we found him," she said softly.
