Phoebe spent twenty minutes playing "Connect The Parts" with the zombies. This seemed to amuse them to no end. Tino leaned against the bar and watched her with a bemused smile.

"Next time you guys do this to me, you are so not going to like where I connect your parts and with what," she threatened.

Caritas was open.

Lana stopped in after work. "Hey. How's it going? Excited about the new kids coming in tomorrow?"

"I'm not going to meet any of the new kids until Sunday," Phoebe said with a grin. "Cole's taking me away for the weekend. We leave early tomorrow morning."

"Oooh, lucky!" Lana said. "Where are you going?"

Phoebe blushed. "Venice."

"Oh, that's wonderful!" Lana exclaimed. "Jim and I talked about getting away for a while, but we haven't made any plans yet."

"Well, and of course, we can't shimmer," she said with a grin.

Anders was here, naturally, and in a good if slightly subdued mood.

Phoebe gave him a concerned look.

"Whatcha worried about?" asked Anders, giving her a smile.

She pondered how to answer that and then reached for his hand. "What's on your mind?"

"Not much." Anders ran his thumb back and forth across her knuckles. "I was just talking to Bel about plans for after summer, that's all, so . . . conversation side effects. Not a big deal, really."

She raised an eyebrow at him. "Like what?"

He shook his head. "You know. Just about how I'm going to miss you guys. Which isn't the most cheerful stuff to think about, so I need a distraction, like thinking about this weekend."

"Hey Billy."

"How goes it? Glad to be done?"

"I'm not really sure yet, to be honest. It's a weird feeling."

"What's next for you?"

"I think I want to major in Psychology with a specialty in Abnormal or Paranormal."

"Hey sweetheart."
