The Beach, all day

No workshops and no library meant that Isabel was free to head to the beach to start working on her tan. Spreading out her blanket, she carefully applied some sunscreen. Days at the beach weren't fun if you wound up looking like a lobster.

With this heat, Peter was in a swimming kind of mood. As he got to the beach, he was glad to see he'd have company. "Hey."

"Hey yourself," Isabel smiled. "What brings you out in the heat?"

Anakin, as always, wasn't a fan of the sand, but the water drew him like a magnet.

He smiled as he stretched his blanket out in a sunny spot. It was finally getting warm enough for him.

"Here to enjoy a day off?" Isabel asked as she dug into her bag for a bottle of water.

"Trying to cool off," Peter said. "Figured a swim could help."

After her workshops, Annette changed into her bathing suit, grabbed her towel and ipod, and headed down to the beach.

It was hot, Seely has nothing to do until Cheer practice, why not head down to the beach?

Anakin grinned over at her and nodded. "I need a break from messing around with Aeryn's transport pod," he told her. "And it's finally getting to be a normal temperature around here."

Anakin was strange, yeah.

"I haven't been brave enough to test the water yet," she said. "But I suppose if I cook here long enough, I'm going to have to."

"You're nuts, you realize that?" she grinned. "I prefer cooler weather. That can lead to snuggling by fires and other fun things."

"Hi Annette," Isabel waved. "Working on your tan?"

"Well I'm not calling you a coward or anything..."

"Morning Seely," Isabel smiled, peering out from behind her sunglasses.

"I'm giving the sunscreen time to sink in!" Isabel replied. "I only just put it on. If I go in now it'll wash off and then I'll wind up looking like a lobster. You wouldn't want that to happen would you?"

"Hey, Isabel," she waved, grinning. "Going to try. Plus maybe catch a little cat-nap. How are you today?"

"Morning, Isabel," Seely grinned back, tossing his shirt to one side.

"Okay, you have a point," Peter admitted. "Especially since in this town that might mean turning into an actual lobster."

"I'm feeling incredibly lazy," she said. "I don't have a workshop till Friday and I've got nothing planned besides sitting here and working on my tan. Although now that you mention it, a cat-nap does sound very appealing."

"I enjoyed radio last night," she told him. "Although seriously, Izzy-bel?"

"Lazy is my kind of word for the day, that is until I have cheer practice." She said with a smile. "But I am done with my workshops for the week so relaxing in a good frame of mind is just the thing for me."

"Just in one of those moods." Seely shrugged. "Aravis is going to kill me if she actually tuned in last night."

Isabel had to think about that for a minute, "I haven't actually seen crustaceans. I've seen people turned into ferrets, dogs, a mouse, a fox, but no shellfish."

"Speaking of lobster red," she said, pulling her bottle of sunscreen out of her bag. "I'm limber, but not that limber. Would you be willing to get my back? Please?"

"Cheer practice? How's that going?" Isabel asked. "I know I had fun when I was on the team last summer."

Johnny cut out of work a couple hours early knowing Leo wouldn't mind.

It was perfect weather for a swim in the ocean. Plus, he was feeling outdoors-y like so he grabbed a few essentials and headed out to the beach.

"Don't you mean Cuddles?" Isabel laughed. "You do like to tempt fate don't you? Maybe you can bribe her with chocolate and flowers?"
