The Beach - Wednesday before Cheerleading practice
Annette brought Angel to the beach with her at Chad's suggestion that his cat and her cat might have fun too. She spread a beach towel, put up a small umbrella, and brought along other necessary beach items that included a frisbee and a football.
She didn't think about bringing a cooler; she wouldn't have been able to carry it anyway.
Anyhow, she was here and waiting for Chad.
(The beach is open for all your beach like needs!)

Chad gave a stoic nod and then went to sit down beside Angel, holding out his fingers a little for her to sniff before she decided whether or not he was worthy of her attention. Prince Oscar Pedro, purring up a storm, happily kneaded his paws against Annette. His wide, bulging eyes closed, content and quite pleased.

"That's what I thought, too," he said with a smile to Annette's comment, "when I spent a little time with him at the shelter. He's just so happy at the smallest things. And he grows on you, once you're used to the lack of fur."
He turned a grin toward Angel. "Maybe you should let him borrow some."

Angel was a fireball of fur. She jumped and hopped and patted Chad's fingers, purring and rolling onto her back while she batted in the air at his hand.

"Okay," he said, finally pulling himself away, brushing off his hands, and pulling himself up to his feet with a slight groan. "Let's do this."
As soon as he was released by Annette and set on the towel, Prince Oscar Pedro looked up at her with a meow of protest, and then turned his confused, bulging eyes toward Chad. "Nyu?"
//"Go on,"// Chad responded in Japanese, just as Prince Oscar Pedro had asked in Japanese, and nodded toward Angel. //"Play nice, okay? It's a new friend, like Flopsy, Mopsy, and....that other one."//
Friend, the kitten certainly understood, turning and blinking toward Angel. And then he let out a happy meow of greeting and pounced on her very fluffy and fun-looking tail.

"Aw, Chad, he likes me and doesn't want me to leave him." she said after she got up and stared down at both cats.
The exchange between Chad and Prince Oscar Pedro had her raising her brows in curiosity. "What did you say?"
Angel peered around at Prince Oscar Pedro and jumped, raising her tail high and flicking it in the air. Then she turned around and stuck her hind-end in the air, her face low to the ground with her chin on her paws. Her very blue eyes grew round and in the next moment she jumped high, ready to pounce on her new cat friend.

"I told him to play nice," Chad said, grinning a little at the kittens as he grabbed one of the footballs and tossed it lightly to Annette. "He likes Japanese best I think."
no subject
She caught the ball, grinning. "He knows Japanese and can understand you? That's...amazing. If Angel understands me at all she ignores me on purpose," she said, starting to walk down away from where the cats were playing.

"Oscar Pedro's pretty spoiled, too," Chad admitted before the launch. "But what kind of makeover? Like on those one shows, where the crews come in and stuff?"

(Chinese is here! Be back in just a bit!)

...Maybe after this next throw.
"I think bold might be good for you," he suggested, moving up the sand a little as he returned the ball to Annette again.
no subject
"Really? Like what color bold?" Wrapping her hand to the football, she threw it back to Chad, groaning when she watched it go to the side. "Sorry!"
no subject
"I dunno," he said, rolling over so that he was on his back, and then sitting up. He held the ball between his knees as he dusted it off. "Orange, maybe?" He gave a light toss back, letting the ball sail over as he thought about whether or not to get up quite yet.
