Caritas - Tuesday Evening [Open]

The zombies were playing, the bar didn't have any weird spills on it and Tino looked like he showered today. Dick felt he had done his job well.

He and Tino were behind the bar, deciding what drinking game to play tonight. Dick was so glad he didn't have class on Wednesdays. He couldn't think of a better way to break curfew.

[I have laid claim on the computer and am around tonight! Huzzah!]

"Now that I know the doors are open to bargaining," A.J. stated, and crossed his arms in front of him, "what've you got to offer?"

Troy leaned over and whispered, slowly and clearly, into A.J.'s ear, outlining exactly what he could expect when they returned to the room this evening if A.J. got up on stage with Troy. And closed the whisper with a slight lick across A.J.'s earlobe.

An eyebrow quirked. And A.J. couldn't help another squirm at the lick.

"And here I was just thinking that you'd owe me a few beers..." The dorky grin that wouldn't stop might have suggested that he might be okay with Troy's suggestion, too.

"I think this might be more fun for us," Troy said, glad that he hadn't reacted badly. Because, y'know, even after last night, he still worried a little about that. "C'mon, I'll even let you pick the song."

"And you'll let me pick the song?" A.J. bit his lip against a wicked grin. "Any song I want? And you'll sing it?"

Troy shrugged. "Just remember, you're singing it, too." How bad could this be?

"No," A.J. said. "I'm doing air guitar and dancing. This calls for some serious consideration. And more beer."

Uh oh. "... If you embarrass me too much, I won't..." He leaned in again, finishing his threat too silently for anyone else to hear.

A.J. quirked another eyebrow. He was going to do that a lot if Troy kept this up. So he stole a page from Lucas' book. "The only one who can truly embarrass you, Troy, is yourself." He nodded, sagely, and took an oh-so-important sip of his beer. "Besides, if you won't do that, then I won't..."

See? Two could play that game.

"... Oh, fine." He grinned. "Just, please, nothing too bad, okay?"

"Hey, I gotta be up there, too," A.J. pointed out. "I'm all for embarrassing the crap out of you and everything, but I've got my own skin to save."

"Perfect!" Troy grinned. "Then feel free. Whatever song."

"Hmmmmmmm..." A.J. looked particularly speculative as he sipped his beer. All he could think of was (God help him) Rex, but he already did that with Annette. He needed some new material, man...

"Any ideas?" Troy poked A.J. again, this time in the shoulder. "C'mon, I want to sing!"

"You are such a dork," A.J. said, not without admiration.

Troy nodded. "Yup! Isn't that why you like me?"

That, and, well...

Yup. A.J. was blushing as he grinned into his beer bottle. "S'why I keep you around, anyway," he said. "I need entertainment."

And, okay, maybe Troy was blushing a little bit, too. "C'mon, pick a song," he said, to cover his mild embarrassment. "Might as well get this over with."

"Get it over with?" A.J. laughed, nudging Troy with his elbow. "What ever happened to, 'I wanna sing, A.J., I wanna sing!'"

Troy grinned. "Well, you've got me worried now. C'mon, what are you picking?"

"Okay, okay," A.J. shook his head, taking a bigger gulp of his beer to get closer to finishing it before sliding off the stool. "Come on (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/1945128.html?thread=88789800#t88789800). Just remember, I'm being nice. I could have been evil. Very evil."

As they came back from the stage, Troy rolled his eyes. "Next time, I'm picking the song."

"Whaa-a-aat?" A.J. laughed, failing to get his hair out of his eyes. He just gave up, gave his head a fierce, and reveled in its mad floppiness. "That's a classic!"

"Which is why I'm picking next time." Grinning, Troy threw his arm around A.J.'s shoulders. "We'll alternate, 'k?"

A.J. leaned his head on Troy's shoulder a little. Better to look up at him with his Puppy Dog Fu from there. "But...I pick good songs....It could have been worse! It could have been Rex Manning (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jx-7pwollX4)!"
