Caritas - Sunday evening [Open]

Well, GOB was done teaching again. It felt good.

What also felt good was knowing that before long there would be new students at the school who could blow their allowances or whatever on booze.

As such he was trying to think of new theme nights to bring in business this fall. Tino nixed "Dress Like a Hooker Night" and "All Girls Go Home With GOB Night." Both of those, Tino felt, would be better served as regular Ladies Nights.

Out of Tino's suggestions, GOB approved "Catholic Schoolgirl Night," but scratched out "All Girls Go Home With Tino Night."

Tino then wrote down "All Girls Go Home With Tino Night," only in Spanish and told GOB that he had reconsidered and that it said "All Girls Go Home With GOB Night."

GOB was an idiot and believed this. That would, he felt, be the best night ever.

Willow came in looking woeful. "Gimme a glass of chocolate milk, please. And don't skim on the chocolate! Or the milk for that matter. Desperate times call for full fat, and I don't care what the nutritional guidelines say."

"Desperate times?" GOB asked, pouring Willow a glass of chocolate milk.

Dance Floor to Make This Girl Not Complain About the Lack of a Dance Floor Night? Nah, too wordy.

Willow chugged the milk without stopping, then slapped the glass back down on the bar and asked for another.

Any resemblance between this and Willow's mental image of drinking like a hardened cowboy in the Old West was ruined A) by the chocolate milk mustasche and B) by the way she coughed when the last swallow went down the wrong pipe.

She did nod, though, in answer to GOB's question. It was a watery, coughy kind of nod, but a nod all the same.

GOB poured another glass and just kept the carton on the bar. It just seemed like that kind of night. "What happened?"

"A week!" Willow finally managed. "A whole week!"

"A week?" GOB asked. "What about a week?"

[OOC: Hahaha. I totally called what the problem was.]

"Without!" Willow replied. "How can you possibly stand it?"

[*is so transparent*]

"I drink," GOB answered. "A week without what?"

"Structure," Willow said. "Discipline! The making of things official!"

GOB succumbed to the inevitable and poured himself a glass of Scotch. "Your boyfriend's a notary or something and he's going away for a week?"

"No, Peter's a king," Willow corrected him. "Though I suppose he could notarize documents. But not his own, of course. You can't sign to say you witnessed yourself signing a document. It's too circular. Plus what if you're a fibber. Not that Peter is, but in general this could happen so I understand the policy."

Yes, Willow read notary documents for fun.

GOB stared for a few moments. Then he took a drink.

He decided that he wasn't going to understand what was going on, so he just went with it. "So, do you think you'll survive the week?"

"I hope so," Willow said. "I mean I've set a few things aside to keep busy. And it's not like the summer brought the full experience anyway but it helped ease the pain, you know?"

"Completely." He didn't know. Not in the slightest. "But, hey, it's only a week, right?"

"I suppose," Willow said. She went to pour herself another glass. "A very, very, very long week. Do you think it would help if I did Calculus?"

GOB thought that Calculus was a weird name, but, hey, if Willow wanted to cheat on a British kid he wasn't going to object. "It couldn't hurt," GOB said with a smirk. "Just keep it quiet. It's the kind of thing that people probably shouldn't know."

If anyone was able to give advice on how to have an affair, it was GOB.

Willow looked surprised. "You mean not everybody makes happy noises when they work on a few problems during the off-season?"

"Some people think it's something you shouldn't do," GOB said. "Ignore what they think but be sneaky, just in case. You don't want it getting around."

"So it'd be okay to do it under the blanket with a flashlight?" Willow asked.

She may have done that anyway, even when she was alone in the room.

"Yeah, I guess," GOB said. It seemed a little weird to him. GOB thought the whole point was to have the lights off. But hey, a kink is a kink. GOB wasn't going to question it. "If that makes it fun for you."

"Sure. With the right atmosphere you can even feel like you're being naughty," Willow said. "Even if there isn't a gold star at the end."

"I'm sure you'd get a gold star," GOB said encouragingly.

"Awww, that's sweet," Willow said, having no idea that the word she was looking for was 'disturbing.' She finished of her milk. "I guess I should get started on that then. No time like the present to help fill the ache. Thanks, Mr. GOB!"

"You're welcome!" GOB said.

It made GOB feel good to give good advice on such a sensitive subject.

Good thing for him that he didn't realize that the advice wasn't good and it wasn't on a sensitive subject, especially not the one he thought it was.
