The Beach, Sunday, Noon and Slightly Before
Ronan was at the beach waiting for Savannah, ready to help her with the control of her magic. He'd arrived a bit early, separating off a few small areas with shields marked by circles in the sand. Inside each one he'd placed small object, something that wouldn't be missed if it got broken or destroyed: an old mug, a CD scratched beyond repair, a shoe that had lost its partner.
Thankfully, his anger at Savannah had dissipated, thanks in large part to the dance party from Friday night, and his datewhich is still being played in SP with Bo the night before; it was hard to be angry at her for 'stealing away' Johnny when he was already looking in other directions, after all. ... Well, okay, no, it wasn't, because humans are ridiculously complex and illogical beings; but he was still much more comfortable with what she'd said than he had been before. Comfortable enough that he felt okay helping her; comfortable enough that he felt he'd be able to help her without sabotaging it.
After all, he reminded himself, a soft smile on his face, it wasn't her fault. And he thought that they could probably be good friends, if he'd let them.
[OOC: Up for
walks_two_paths, thread to them locked, please, but feel free to bug Ronan before she shows up; and, of course, beach is otherwise open for all your beach-ly needs.]

"Hi."

It hadn't left her mind that the last time she lost her temper and almost lost control of her powers that Wyatt had to grab her and stop her.

She bit her lip. "That... doesn't really help, does it?"

"So, you want me to use one of my spells to hit the targets? Probably a knock-back spell is better. I haven't really used that one since Umbridge messed with my mind and I got hurt by my own spell."

[[OOC: Not wanting to mod Ronan's shields, so you can decide how far it goes back. She used the low level spell to start with.]]

She wanted to make sure. She wasn't the best at listening usually, but Ronan was willing to help her with her control, so she would do her best to make sure she was clear on what he needed her to do.

"Yeah, it does."
She was silent for a moment as she recited the spell and sent power flying at the mug.

He may or may not be trying to get her angry.

She had a temper. She didn't like people thinking that she wasn't capable. She was also afraid she would lose control if she got too angry.
She took a deep breath and doubled the intensity of the fireball, making a soft growl in her throat as she released it.

Even though she tried to fight the reaction, Savannah's temper bled into her power when she prepped the next spell. When she was ready, a fireball twice the intensity of the last one went flying... and she immediately started prepping another spell.

"... Thanks," he said, softly. "That's what I needed to see."

"And there's one last thing I'd like to see," he added, pointing at the last target, the shoe. "As much power as you can, when you're not overly emotional. A fireball, I'd say, keeping with the theme."

She took a deep breath as she prepped a powerful fireball spell. Lord, but she was ging to sleep like a rock tonight from all of the power she was using.
After a moment, she aimed her hand at the shoe and let loose with as much power as she could.

The fireball smacked against the shield -- and shattered it, although the shoe itself was left unscathed. Ronan staggered a bit as the spell broke, but he grinned. "Okay, then," he said. "... I think that might be enough for today."

"I think I'm going to go work off some of this energy in the gym. I'll talk to you later?"

She gave him another smile before turning to jog off.
