Having remembered that he has a clinic shift tomorrow night, Ronan had called Bo to see if he was available tonight for their date, instead. So, here he was, waiting for Bo to show up for their date. He was totally not nervous at all. Of course not, why would you ask that?

[OOC: For the date, but also open for all your pizza needs! PS: It totally always said Saturday.]

Tink was bored. She was low on absinthe, tired of Squall's house, and wishing there were more people around to mock horribly.

This meant that she should open the store, as it wasn't Squall's house, had people who would come in for mockery, and most importantly, had a spare bottle of absinthe stashed behind the counter.

Pixie Dust was open. And its owner was merrily getting drunk.

(OOC: up early for great fashion justice)

Anne was, perhaps not unexpectedly, a bit high-strung and flushed as she dashed down to town and opened the bookstore for her very first shift. She had spent most of last night in a fretful daze that culminated in all-too-vivid dreams about being chased around by a fearful monster with a book for a head -- after which Anne had woken up feeling quite betrayed.

At any rate, she arrived early, spent a meticulous twenty minutes setting out the tea and pastries (and making doubly and triply sure that there was no currant wine lurking about disguised as raspberry cordial), and settled down comfortably with a cup of tea for herself and an old favorite collection of Tennyson's poems.

Turtle Wexler was discovering that training was hard work; she was glad it was Sunday, because that meant she had one more person to train and then she could take a break finally. But today was Victor's training day, and he was her little brother, so that was very exciting. So exciting, in fact, that Apu remembered that those aprons she had ordered had come in. Perfect day to test them out by having insisting that he wear one so she can see how they look. They had the logo on them and everything!

She knew the training schpiel by heart at this point, too. Very quick and effectively, she had Victor tossed on the counter as she sat back with her empty contemplations over a Sudoku (or however it was spelt) puzzle.

Today's Squishy Flavors: Schnozberries, Doomberries, Bad bad Red.

Turtle & Canary is open.

Joanna was in  a foul mood.  She set herself up in the ticket booth with a bottle of champagne hidden under the counter, a large box of expensive chocolate, and a carton of Turkish cigarettes.

She also put out a sign:

Molly and Karal - he had the cushion under one arm and was holding onto her hand - were making their way towards the causeway.

The portal would be there soon and he was starting to worry about the lack of Firecat. "I hope Altra is here soon. I do not want to leave without him."

[ooc: Molly modded with permission.]

Ronan was at the beach waiting for Savannah, ready to help her with the control of her magic. He'd arrived a bit early, separating off a few small areas with shields marked by circles in the sand. Inside each one he'd placed small object, something that wouldn't be missed if it got broken or destroyed: an old mug, a CD scratched beyond repair, a shoe that had lost its partner.

Thankfully, his anger at Savannah had dissipated, thanks in large part to the dance party from Friday night, and his date which is still being played in SP with Bo the night before; it was hard to be angry at her for 'stealing away' Johnny when he was already looking in other directions, after all. ... Well, okay, no, it wasn't, because humans are ridiculously complex and illogical beings; but he was still much more comfortable with what she'd said than he had been before. Comfortable enough that he felt okay helping her; comfortable enough that he felt he'd be able to help her without sabotaging it.

After all, he reminded himself, a soft smile on his face, it wasn't her fault. And he thought that they could probably be good friends, if he'd let them.

[OOC: Up for [livejournal.com profile] walks_two_paths, thread to them locked, please, but feel free to bug Ronan before she shows up; and, of course, beach is otherwise open for all your beach-ly needs.]

Mary had asked him if there were still no services in the church, and he had found it a little amusing. Still, he couldn't help wondering if anyone would show up. To amuse himself he put a note on the door:

Sunday:

Do-it-yourself Sunday service

Open all day

He wiped the donut-boxes off the altar and lit the candles. He might even offer someone coffee if they showed up, just for the entertainment value.

[The church is open]

George Michael Bluth was at work again. Everything was in order. He was eating a banana but not ruining his lunchtime since lunchtime was over. Willow would be pleased.

He got through the first day without seeing any other Bluth. It would be great if he could get through the second day just like the first. He would then have hope that other Bluth's on this island just didn't exist. Or they went home. Either way would be beneficial to his health.

The Banana Stand was open.

Annette spread a huge beach towel on the sand, plugged in her ipod, and laid down. She wanted a nap and she was going to take one in the sun. She could use a little color. Plus the sun made her gift from Dick sparkle and shine and she was so very proud of it.

Not that she was going to lay there and stare down at it; she was taking a nap, letting Chopin's Romantic Piano Concerto Volume 1 lure her to sleep. Or try. Her eyes were closed at least.

(the beach and post are both open for beach needs and stuff, yo.)

A.J. was staring at the napkin holders. Yes, there was a reason. He was almost certain they were moving. Almost. It could just be Fandom starting to get to his head, but he could swear that every time he turned to do something, they would rearrange themselves. So he was keeping an eye on them. Therefor getting absolutely no work done, including only writing out a title and half of the first thing on the specials board. Apparently, due to napkin watching, today's special was Cheese & Baco.

Luke's Diner is open.
[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com
Robin had two books open on the countertop today. One was the Frog Scout Manual instructions for the Occult Merit Badge. The other was a book he'd found here called "Creepies and Crawlies, Goulies and Ghosties".

Interesting stuff but he'd be happy to take a break from that to help the customers.

Leo finally figured he had the green screen studio set up correctly, and was using the remote to take a few pictures of himself to try it out. Let's see, he'd always wanted to visit Niagara Falls.

Photo Hut is Open.

GOB was practicing his juggling skills tonight. In order to properly motivate himself, GOB turned it into a drinking game. He filled six shot glasses and attempted to juggle three of them. Any time he spilled any booze while juggling, he had to do a shot.

This was not only a blatant excuse to do some shots, it was also very effective. He stopped juggling inside of ten seconds due to the shots. GOB had never had more fun practicing juggling.

[OOC: GOB's around, hooray!]

This is Mel.

This is Mel on patrol.

No, there aren't any vampires in Fandom. Or demons... Or at least no demons who are going to kill anyone on the island. Today.

Nevertheless Mel continues to patrol. It's a slayer thing.

Now if she could only get rid of the guy with a deathwish.

[For one person who knows who he is but always open for those who stalk graveyards]

There was something incredibly amused about Lieutenant Kerrigan when she walked into the pizza place: apparently there were some universal constants that time would never dispose of, and pizza was one of them.

"It's nice some things are the same everywhere," she remarked, taking a seat.

[ kerrigan's here for her sheriff-y date, but open to anyone who wants pizza ]
