Caritas - Friday evening [Open]

The explanation was complicated. It started with a simple question, then a long story by Jolee, and then there were wigs hidden underneath the stage for some reason, and Jolee wasn't even sure what happened next, but the upshot of it is that Tino was dressed like a Wookiee.

He was wearing clothes under the hair, though. Thank the Force.

There were still a few wigs on the stage.

One was on a zombie.

He headbanged with it until the head came off. Jolee used the Force to reattach it.

The Wookiee near Jolee was short and not ferocious. And largely synthetic.

After leaving his room, and a once more sleeping Altra, Karal wandered down to Caritas in the hopes of a quiet beer and maybe a game of darts.

Instead, he was now staring (and trying not to) at the very hairy person behind the bar. "Glory, what's happened to him?"

Karal nodded, still not quite staring and definitely not asking. "I guess at least he's warm?"

"And probably itchy," Jolee said. "I wonder how long those wigs were there anyway..."

"Eh, doesn't matter. What can I get for you, lad?"

Then he shrugged at Tino. "Bad hair day?"

"There was an issue earlier. I don't even know why we had old wigs here," Jolee said, shrugging back.

Mary could use a distraction tonight. Seeing Tino covered from head to toe with hair was definitely distracting. "New bartender?" she asked.

"There was an incident before opening," Jolee said. "That's Tino under there."

Mary could only imagine what kind of incident. "I'll have my usual. That's a club soda with lime," she added.

"Of course, miss," Jolee said. He prepared her drink - because Tino wasn't getting anyone drinks tonight that he might get hair into while Jolee was watching - and put it down in front of her. "Aside from seeing weird things behind the bar, how are you tonight?"

Mary's answer was hesitant. "Not bad," she said, though her body language suggested otherwise.

Joanna noticed the hairy creature, but after deducing that the pelt wouldn't make a very good coat, she lost interest.

"I need a drink. It's cold." Not that the temperature really had anything to do with it.

Jolee poured her drink but didn't put it down on the bar yet. "What, you're not even a little surprised to see me with a job?"

Mary made sure to stay a discreet distance away from Joanna. The last thing she wanted to do tonight was get into an argument -- or worse.

Joanna didn't so much as glance in Mary's direction. Oh, she knew the whore was there, but she didn't want anyone thinking she had anything to do with her. Or her fumbling boyfriend.

After talking to Jolee, Karal went to sit in the lounge, cradling his beer in one hand while he thought about what he'd been told.

Occasionally, he tossed a dart at the dart board, watching it for a bit before getting lost in thought again.
