Caritas - Tuesday Evening [Open]

Lo and behold, Dick showed up to work today. The choice was being around booze with the slight chance of being eaten or sitting around dorms watching people study for finals. Dick felt he made the right decision.

"So...what are we going to do if that guy tries to attack us?" Tino asked.

"I'm going to push you in the front so he eats you and then I'll escape out the bathroom window." Dick said.

"I'll kill you first!"

Dick threw a handful of pretzels at Tino. "Your crazy is showing."

The constant stream of Christmas music was going to drive Dick nuts.

There was an all out pretzel throwing fight going on between Dick and Tino right now.

Logan was going to go insane and/or kill Bel if he stayed in Xander's apartment any longer. He figured Caritas would be fairly safe and, bonus, it had alcohol. He sat down at the bar and ordered whiskey.

"Hey, dude!" Dick said. Dick knew why Logan was in Fandom but that didn't make him any less happy to see him.

"Hey!" Logan said. "How's the working life treating you?"

"Well, I get all the free booze I want and I make this douchebag do all the work." he said, nodding his head towards Tino. "So as far as jobs go it's not too bad."

"Sounds like a good deal," Logan said. He hesitated, then leaned in slightly. "Uh, dude - if I ever come around knocking on your door, don't invite me in."

"Why not?" he asked.

"Have you heard of Angelus?" Logan asked.

"I talked to him for, like, twenty minutes yesterday." he said. "It was part of my final."

"Yeah, that was a bad idea," Logan muttered. To Dick, he said, "He's loose. And last time, he tried to turn me into a vampire." He touched the bite scar on his neck unconsciously. "And if that happened - I'd probably go after my friends."

Dick nodded. "Yeah, I probably would too. And a few other choice people."

"Yeah," Logan said. "But vampires need an invitation to get into your home. So if I can come in without an invite, it's all cool."

Jaye was back in town. Jaye had to come to Caritas her first night. After all, she didn't need the fake ID here. You took advantage of that sort of thing.

"Beer me," she said, purse on top of the bar.

"Oh, look, it's like a little school reunion." Dick said as he placed a beer in front of Jaye.

"We do love to come flocking back," she said. "How's it going... you?"

Look, she only actually saw him like once before she graduated. She's expected to remember names?

"With the exception of the psycho killer on the loose, pretty good." he said. "And it's Dick."

"What's a psycho killer's di- Oh," she said, ending that sentence right there, thanks. "What psycho killer?"

Dick gave Jaye a weird look. "Aren't you here for the same reason Logan is? Evil vampire?"

She gave him a weird look right back. The lion was so dead. Very, very dead. "Noooo. Okay, just to clarify, when you say 'evil vampire', you really mean...?"

"Angel? Oh wait, I'm supposed to call him Angelus or something." he said. He wondered if everybody was supposed to change their name when they're evil.

"......" she said.

She tried again. "Um nuh uh not funny take it back." That was better, if a bit of a run-on.

"Ah, it's true. He was here for my Fandom Invasions final and then he escaped or something. It was on radio." he said. "Wait, why the hell are you here if it's not for him?"

I just burnt a batch of cookies but goddamn it I'm going to eat them.
